Nwankpa’s arrival in Iowa City has helped attract several other top prospects to the university in what became known as The “X” Effect. Proctor became the highest-rated recruit to ever commit to Iowa in the recruiting ranking era. According to 247Sports, he is the highest-rated player in the state of Iowa. On a national level, Proctor is the second-rated offensive lineman and the 10th-ranked player overall. His track and field skills translate to the gridiron where he has great upper body explosiveness and hand strength. Proctor’s pass protection is among the best in the nation at the high school level. He shows elite twitch at the point of attack and gets out of his stance with great quickness.

Kadyn Proctor Commits to Iowa

At 6’-8” and 335 pounds, Proctor already has the size to compete in the Big Ten Conference. His eye-popping talent and tremendous upside potential gave him opportunities at virtually every school in the country. He chose the Hawkeyes over teams like Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Ohio State, and Texas A&M. With Proctor’s commitment to Iowa, the Hawkeyes’ 2023 class jumps to 15th overall, and fourth in the Big Ten.
