Wilson. This college student went viral in 2015 by showing off some of his ridiculous feats of athleticism — which include unbelievable jumps, creative weightlifting and plenty of other eye-popping moves. Since then, he’s developed a large following on Instagram.

When he started to go viral, he was mistakenly identified as a running back for Kansas University, but it turns out he wasn’t on the team. In high school, he actually excelled in wrestling rather than football. That misidentification added some mystery to the man behind these insane workout videos. Here are 10 of his most incredible moves.

The Box Jump

https://www.instagram.com/p/6p98gSzFJK/

The box jump is a classic workout that doesn’t seem particularly exciting. That’s not the case when Devonte Wilson sets a personal record by jumping 74 inches.

Lifting the Spotter

https://www.instagram.com/p/BJ4A26qhM-e/

Wilson lifts some added weight on the benchpress machine. His cousin doesn’t seem to mind.

The Dumbbell Routine

https://www.instagram.com/p/BHnnGFAhdTN/

Dumbbells are a great addition to any workout plan. Wilson takes it even further by doing backflips and other crazy moves while carrying a pair.

Extreme Bosu Ball

https://www.instagram.com/p/BJ9KS39hsGJ/

Bosu balls are the devil, as they require so much effort to stay balanced on one while working out. Wilson kicks it up a notch by adding a pistol squat while holding an Olympic bar. He makes it look easy.

“Creative” Kettlebells

https://www.instagram.com/p/BGXdGhOzFOx/

Kettlebells aren’t just for lifting, apparently. For this leg day workout, Smith balances on a kettlebell while squatting a plate. Don’t try this one on your own.

Water Run

https://www.instagram.com/p/BLhi_LwBgBx/

If you ever tried running in a pool, you know it is incredibly exhausting. That, however, doesn’t seem to slow Wilson down. Here he’s using a specialized underwater treadmill for his workout.

Next level training. It’s crazy to even consider. It’s even crazier to see it done. On this Instagram post, Wilson writes: “If you don’t step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself with something new, you will remain the same.”

Dab Pushups

https://www.instagram.com/p/BA27KfUTFBJ/

Think “the dab” is played out? Wilson makes dabbing fresh again with these massive jumping pushups combined with a dab at the end. The slow motion really shows just how much lift he’s getting with these pushups.

Piggyback Lifting

https://www.instagram.com/p/_5e2qMzFOQ/

Wilson makes weightlifting look easy, even when he’s squatting his cousin in addition to two plates. These piggyback squats are truly something else. How fast do you think you’d get kicked out of a gym if you tried this with your lifting buddy?

Extreme Squats

https://www.instagram.com/p/5zoADezFIi/ Please don’t try this one at home, in the gym or anywhere else on this planet. A back flip is terrifying enough for us mere mortals. Combining that with a spin around an Olympic bar and a four-plate squat is total madness.

Where’s Devonte M. Wilson Now?

Wilson tried out for Kansas University as a freshman but didn’t make the team. Now, he’s playing football for Fort Scott Community College and updating his Instagram with new and crazy workouts. Will we see him in the future? Who knows, but we can at least enjoy these videos.

Main Photo:

Embed from Getty Images

Devonte Wilson has become an instagram sensation by posting some of the craziest workout routines ever.
