Currently, <strong>Alabama<\/strong>, <strong>Ohio State<\/strong>, <strong>Michigan<\/strong>, and <strong>Clemson<\/strong> hold the Top 4 spots in the <strong>College Football Playoff Rankings<\/strong> heading into Week 13. All four teams head into major rivalry games this week, including the battle between Ohio State and Michigan. <strong>Washington<\/strong> holds the 5<sup>th<\/sup> spot as they go into <strong>Pullman<\/strong> this Friday afternoon to take on a <strong>Washington State<\/strong> squad that just recently lost to <strong>Colorado<\/strong> in <strong>Boulder<\/strong> last week. <strong>Wisconsin<\/strong> and <strong>Penn State<\/strong> with the 6<sup>th<\/sup> and 7<sup>th<\/sup> spots have tough rivalry games as well along with 9<sup>th<\/sup> ranked Colorado taking on a strong team <strong>Utah<\/strong> team, who endured a heartbreaking lost to Oregon last week. <strong>Oklahoma<\/strong> and <strong>Oklahoma St<\/strong> both hold the 8<sup>th<\/sup> and 10<sup>th<\/sup> spots in the rankings, but they both have a bye this week before their <strong>Bedlam<\/strong> matchup next week. Right now, that is ten teams still in the mix for the College Football Playoff and\u00a0Week 13 is going to decide some playoff spots. Welcome to <strong>Rivalry Week<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>#5 Washington at #23 Washington State\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Washington State may have suffered an unfortunate defeat to<strong> Colorado<\/strong> last week, but quarterback <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/luke-falk-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Luke Falk<\/a><\/strong> still did not play that bad. They are lucky to be the home team in this year\u2019s<strong> Apple Cup<\/strong> against a very good Washington team led by quarterback <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/jake-browning-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jake Browning<\/a><\/strong>.<strong> Washington<\/strong> also has a ferocious defense led by cornerback <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/sidney-jones-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sidney Jones<\/a><\/strong> and safety <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/budda-baker-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Budda Baker<\/a><\/strong>, but all signs seem to be pointing towards a trap game in this one.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Washington State 35, Washington 30<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong>#3 Michigan at #2 Ohio State<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>I was expecting Ohio State to beat Michigan State last week, but I certainly wasn\u2019t expecting it to be that close. Yikes! The score was 17-16 and it was very obvious that Ohio State was looking ahead towards this showdown against <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/jim-harbaugh-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jim Harbaugh<\/a><\/strong> and his Michigan squad. The <strong>Wolverines<\/strong> weren\u2019t perfect either against <strong>Indiana<\/strong>, but they were coming off a stinker to <strong>Iowa<\/strong>, had a new quarterback starting in <strong>John O\u2019Korn<\/strong>, and it was snowing. Regardless of the way things played out last week, this epic showdown in what is known to be one of the greatest rivalries in college football is going to be a battle for a playoff spot and both teams are going to have to bring their A-game. This matchup also has <strong>Heisman Trophy<\/strong> implications as well with Ohio State being led by quarterback <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/jt-barrett-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">J.T. Barrett<\/a><\/strong> and Michigan being led by linebacker <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/jabrill-peppers-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jabrill Peppers<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ohio State 21, Michigan 17<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xxlxgL1wj8Q\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong>#13 Auburn at #1 Alabama<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Do I call the upset??? Absolutely not. This Alabama squad has a chance to end up being one of coach <strong>Nick Saban\u2019s<\/strong> best teams if they go on to win the National Championship. Their defense consists of future <strong>NFL<\/strong> stars in <strong>Johnathan Allen<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/marlon-humphrey-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marlon Humphrey<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Ruben Foster<\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=tim-williams-6,tim-williams-7&amp;search=Tim+Williams&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tim Williams<\/a><\/strong>. Auburn has had a decent season this year, but after the way they played against <strong>Georgia<\/strong> a couple of weeks ago, this matchup is going to be way too overwhelming for them to handle.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Alabama 31, Auburn 13<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong>Michigan State at #7 Penn State<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Michigan State \u00a0actually ended up playing their best game of the year against Ohio State last week. They\u00a0even possibly could have pulled the upset in overtime had coach <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/mark-dantonio-2.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mark Dantonio<\/a><\/strong> not gone for the two-point conversion late in the 4<sup>th<\/sup> quarter. Michigan State running back <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/lj-scott-2.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LJ Scott<\/a><\/strong> had a heck of a game as well. \u00a0Although, I believe\u00a0Penn State has the better running back in <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/saquon-barkley-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Saquon Barkley<\/a><\/strong>. Barkley has basically carried the team since the overtime win against <strong>Minnesota<\/strong> in early<strong> October<\/strong> and the team has been on a roll since, including an upset win over Ohio State. All signs point to Penn State winning this game. I feel like Dantonio has his squad ready for this one as they play for pride to close the year. We\u2019ve got an upset in <strong>Happy Valley<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Michigan State 24, Penn State 20<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eUPE4JCfEVQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong>Minnesota at #6 Wisconsin\u00a0<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Who\u2019s going to win <strong>Paul Bunyan\u2019s<\/strong> axe? With an actual spot for the playoff on the line, this is a good battle for the <strong>Axe<\/strong>.\u00a0Wisconsin is definitely ready to take on a surprisingly good Minnesota team. <strong>Gophers <\/strong>Running back<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=rodney-smith-5,rodney-smith-1&amp;search=Rodney+Smith&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rodney Smith<\/a><\/strong> has been sensational this season, but Wisconsin sports a dominant running game of their own led by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/corey-clement-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Corey Clement<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/dare-ogunbowale-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dare Ogunbowale<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/bradrick-shaw-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bradrick Shaw<\/a><\/strong>. Their offensive line, led by <strong>Ryan Ramcyzk<\/strong>, will be way too overwhelming for the Gophers. The<strong>\u00a0Badgers<\/strong> also feature one of the best defenses in the nation, led by linebackers <strong>T.J. Watt<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/tj-edwards-3.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">T.J. Edwards<\/a><\/strong>. I see the <strong>Axe<\/strong> going to <strong>Madison<\/strong> this Thanksgiving Weekend.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Wisconsin 28, Minnesota 10<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong>#22 Utah at #9 Colorado\u00a0<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Ever since the loss to<strong> USC<\/strong>, quarterback<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/sefo-liufau-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sefo Liufau<\/a><\/strong> has stepped it up for the <strong>Buffaloes.<\/strong>\u00a0Liufau has led the team to a five game winning streak heading into a showdown against<strong> Utah<\/strong>. This game for Colorado always means a spot for the\u00a0<strong>Pac-12 Championship Game<\/strong> on the line. Utah had an unfortunate loss to a disappointing <strong>Oregon<\/strong> squad last week. That\u2019s definitely not something you want to endure before going into Boulder. I believe the committee will continue to talk about Colorado this coming Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Colorado 32, Utah 23<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/U37FUuO1KNU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong>South Carolina at #4 Clemson\u00a0<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>If this game was being played at <strong>South Carolina<\/strong>, I could actually see an upset brewing as well. Unfortunately, the game is in <strong>Death Valley.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Clemson\u2019s<\/strong> offense, led by quarterback <strong>DeShaun Watson<\/strong>, is too potent right now to be stopped by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/will-muschamp-2.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Will Muschamp<\/a>\u2019s<\/strong> squad.
