This week I decided to do some warm cocktails to keep you warm on these cool fall days.\u00a0 I tried to pick crockpot recipes so you have a large batch and a way to keep it warm at the tailgate party.\u00a0 Y\u2019all have fun with these and enjoy!<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/diethood.com\/spiked-crockpot-hot-chocolate\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Spiked Crockpot Hot Chocolate\u00a0<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredients\">\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">8<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">ounces<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">dark chocolate chips OR semi-sweet chocolate chips<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1\/4<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cup<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">unsweetened cocoa powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1\/2<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cup<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">granulated sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">6<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cups<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">whole milk,<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes-normal\">you can also use 2% milk<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">2<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cups<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">heavy cream,<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes-normal\">you can also use evaporated milk or Half &amp; Half<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">2<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">teaspoons<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">pure vanilla extract<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cup<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">Kahlua,<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes-normal\">or bourbon, or any other liquor that you prefer<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">Toppings;\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes-normal\">marshmallows, chopped peppermint, cinnamon sticks, chocolate syrup, whipped cream<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol data-slot-rendered-dynamic=\"true\">\n<li>First, you\u2019ll want to add chocolate chips, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt to the insert of your slow cooker.<\/li>\n<li>Then, stir in milk, heavy cream, and vanilla. If you don\u2019t want to use heavy cream, add half &amp; half or evaporated milk, instead.<\/li>\n<li>Whisk it all together; cover and cook for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.<\/li>\n<li>Remove cover, whisk in some Kahlua or bourbon; or rum, or whatever else you have on hand.<\/li>\n<li>Ladle into mugs; top with marshmallows and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cookingforkeeps.com\/spiked-spiced-apple-cider\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Spiked Crockpot Apple Cider<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredients\">\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">1-gallon <\/span><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">apple cider<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">2<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">cinnamon sticks<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">4-star anise<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">tbsp + 1 tsp<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">whole cloves<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">2<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">oranges, sliced plus more for garnish<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">2<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">lemons, sliced plus more for garnish<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\">1-liter <span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">good whiskey or bourbon<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-group\">\n<ol class=\"wprm-recipe-instructions\">\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">\n<p>Add apple cider, cinnamon sticks, star anise, whole cloves, oranges, and lemons to the crockpot. Turn the heat on low and cook for 6-7 hours. So you can cook this the day before your tailgate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">\n<p>Take out all of the whole spices, oranges, and lemons before serving. Pour in bourbon. Stir and serve. Garnish with sliced orange and lemon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Does it matter what kind of whiskey you use?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In short, yes&#8230; but not really. We use a good whiskey or bourbon. We love Crown Royal or Bullet bourbon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Substitutions &amp; Tips:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you don\u2019t like whiskey, swap it out for rum or vodka<\/li>\n<li>A splash of apple brandy would be a great addition, as would a splash of Grand Mariner.<\/li>\n<li>Throw in your favorite fall spices &#8211; Nutmeg would also work.<\/li>\n<li>Serve with mason jars and sliced fruit for a super cute presentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/savorandsavvy.com\/slow-cooker-irish-coffee-recipe\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Irish Coffee\u00a0<\/a><\/h3>\n<p class=\"wprm-recipe-header wprm-recipe-instructions-header wprm-block-text-bold wprm-align-left wprm-header-decoration-none\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredients\">\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">3<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cups<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">Coffee\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes wprm-recipe-ingredient-notes-faded\">strong, black<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">\u00bd<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">cup\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">Heavy Whipping Cream<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">1<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">tbsp<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">Cocoa Powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-amount\">2 <\/span><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-unit\">oz<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">Bailey&#8217;s Irish Cream<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient\"><span class=\"wprm-recipe-ingredient-name\">Whipped Cream<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wprm-recipe-header wprm-recipe-instructions-header wprm-block-text-bold wprm-align-left wprm-header-decoration-none\"><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-group\">\n<ul class=\"wprm-recipe-instructions\">\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-14799-step-0-0\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Gather all of your ingredients.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-14799-step-0-1\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Pour the coffee, heavy cream, cocoa powder (optional) into the slow cooker and give it a good stir. Set to low for 2-3 hours.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-14799-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">After 2-3 hours, scoop out a cup, add 1-2 tablespoons of Bailey&#8217;s. Top with whipped cream. Shave Andes mints on top and serve! Enjoy!<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Make the coffee ahead of time and put it in the refrigerator so it can be a dump-and-go recipe.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Measure out the other ingredients and cover.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Combine ALL of the ingredients together and put them in a container in the refrigerator. When you are ready, simply dump in the slow cooker, turn to low and you are off!<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Recipe can be doubled or tripled with no issues at all. If you are feeding a decent-sized crowd, this is recommended!<\/li>\n<li>Add Kaluha to the Bailey\u2019s in one cup. Trust me on this one, it is INCREDIBLE! If I steer you wrong here, I apologize but I swear by this one.<\/li>\n<li>Use chocolate shavings instead of Andes Mints<\/li>\n<li>If you don\u2019t have cocoa powder, feel free to leave it out.<\/li>\n<li>Add cinnamon to the recipe.<\/li>\n<li>Now, I wouldn\u2019t suggest you do ALL the suggestions at once but it gives you an idea of how to make this your own using the base recipe!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h3>On The Menu<\/h3>\n<p>See you next week for another Friday Football Friday Tailgate Recipe.\u00a0 On the menu next Friday I am going to do an entire post on Hot Toddys.\u00a0 There are apparently several variations and some of them look delish!
