Consistency is not a word that has been chosen to describe the 2021 college football season. However, that’s exactly what we have as the top five remained the same in this weeks rankings. But, could we see some flip-flopping among the top this week? Before we get into the top half, let’s take a look at all of the contenders in our 2021 week seven Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

Bryce Young<\/a> and Matt Corral<\/a> seem to be at the top of everyone’s Heisman lists. However, with nobody else taking charge it’s possible that we could see some new faces in the coming weeks. The Texas and Michigan State schedules get awfully tough down the stretch. Will Kenny Pickett<\/a> or C.J. Stroud<\/a> make some noise? After only playing in about seven quarters of action, could we see Caleb Williams<\/a> with Oklahoma make a jump? With that being said, let’s take a look as we unveil our 2021 week seven Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

Corral threw his first interception of the year against Tennessee, but that’s about all he did wrong. He was Mr. Everything by throwing for 231 yards and running for another 195 yards in the win. That was enough to push Corral up to the top spot for the first time this season. Corral and the Rebels return home to face LSU whose defense has not provided much opposition this season.<\/p>\n

Young is probably sitting around wondering what he has to do. After the loss to Texas A&M, he rebounded with a 346-yard four-touchdown performance against Mississippi State. However, that performance was under shadowed by the Corral moments in Knoxville. He will get the same chance that Corral did as the Volunteers come calling in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Walker drops a spot to number three this week after a steady, but not great performance against Indiana. He was kept out of the end zone and had 84 yards on the ground keeping just three yards away from 1,000 on the season. Walker and the Spartans have a week off to prepare for the Wolverines which will be the biggest test of the year for Walker.<\/p>\n

It’s a testament to how well Robinson has played and maintained his top five ranking despite the Longhorns having three losses. Be that as it may, Robinson accounted for all of the Texas touchdowns last week and added 135 yards rushing. The Longhorns have the week off, but then the schedule gets even tougher as they travel to Baylor and Iowa State in back-to-back weeks.<\/div>\n

The question for the remainder of the season on Ridder is will he have enough Heisman moments and will he take advantage of any platform that he has. The Bearcats turned more to the ground game and as a result Ridder only threw for 140 yards and a touchdown. The Bearcats travel to Navy on Saturday in a game where both Cincinnati and Ridder desperately need some style points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
