The 2021 season has been one that has not lacked in surprises. Bigger than any upset is a first here with our Heisman poll in that we have a punter that received a single vote here in 2021. Be that as it may, we have the closest voting between the first, second, and third spots than we have had all year. Before we get into the top half, let’s take a look at all of the contenders in our 2021 week six Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

With Alabama’s loss to Texas A&M, it opened the door for some other contenders. But, is it enough to give us a new leader? Did Kenneth Walker III<\/a> have a Heisman moment in his long touchdown run? In a losing effort, would a 100-yard first-half performance from Bijan Robinson<\/a> give him the nod? Or after a loss to Alabama, could Matt Corral<\/a> rebound? With that being said, let’s take a look as we unveil our 2021 week six Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

Young was able to maintain his top spot in a losing effort, which is difficult to do. However, the loss was not on him as he had his best game in a Crimson Tide uniform with 369 yards passing and three touchdowns. They go on the road this week to face Mississippi State who went on the road to beat the same Aggies that Alabama lost to just two weeks ago.<\/p>\n

Walker had his best game in a Spartan uniform with a 233 rushing performance against Rutgers on Saturday. Had Young not performed admirably in defeat, the top spot would belong to Walker. With that being said, Walker had a Heisman moment with a 94-yard touchdown run. Michigan State stays on the road against Indiana where Walker hopes to pass the 1,000-yard mark on the season.<\/p>\n

Incredibly, Corral still has not turned the ball over one time this season. His efficiency has provided him with the opportunity to move up in this week’s Heisman race. The Rebels needed every bit of his 287-yard, two touchdown performance to beat Arkansas. He’ll likely be asked to be just as good, if not better when the Rebels travel to Knoxville in what promises to be a high-scoring affair.<\/p>\n

Based on the loss and the struggles from the Longhorn offense in the second half, Robinson drops a spot in this week’s poll. After rushing for over 100 yards in the first half and scoring 38 points, he only ran for 30 yards and Texas scored 10 second-half points. The sledding won’t get any easier as the Cowboys come to town bolstering the best defense in the Big 12.<\/div>\n

There was no post-Notre Dame hangover for the Ridder and the Bearcats as they throttled Temple, 52-3. Overall, Ridder had his best game of the year in throwing for 259 yards and three touchdowns. Ridder will stay at home and play what now seems like not as tough as a matchup against UCF as initially thought. Ridder could struggle with not having enough Heisman moment opportunities moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
