It has been a crazy start to the 2021 college football season. After a month of play Spencer Rattler<\/a> and Sam Howell<\/a> are both nowhere to be found in the top five of the Heisman race. In addition, we have six new players who have made their way to the leader board for the first time this season. Could we see even more shake up? Before that, let’s take a look at some of the contenders in our 2021 week four Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

Quarterbacks Jake Haener<\/a> and JT Daniels<\/a> have found their way into the top five. And, with three of the top five Heisman points leaders in huge matchups this weekend the jocking for position is more competitive than ever. Meanwhile, a couple of SEC quarterbacks have a week to get ready for the most significant Heisman matchup of the season next weekend. Let’s take a look as we unveil our 2021 week four Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

Another solid performance and a nearly perfect game for Young against Southern Mississippi. He connected on 20 of 22 passes for 313 yards and five touchdowns. But, he did throw his first interception of the season. Now, we have our first one versus two Heisman matchup of the season as Matt Corral<\/a> comes calling in one of the premier games of the weekend.<\/p>\n

Lane Kiffin and Corral have had two weeks to prepare for the Alabama defense and a huge opportunity on Saturday. If this game is anything like last year’s contest then win or lose Corral still should remain in the thick of the race. However, a victory here could shake up the Heisman race, the SEC, and the College Football Playoff picture.<\/p>\n

Walker holds steady at number three even with a relatively sub-par game against Nebraska on Saturday night. He only had 19 carries for 61 yards in the game for Michigan State. Even still, Michigan State managed to win the game and now has a big opportunity to go 5-0 with a victory against Western Kentucky on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Haener joins the Heisman rankings and immediately vaults into the number four position. It’s hard to argue with his numbers that have almost equaled the 2020 productivity through four games. The struggle for Haener is going to be the same that Zach Wilson<\/a> had last year in having the national audience and overcoming the west coast impact of not having enough eyes on his games.<\/div>\n

After struggling against Clemson and sitting out against UAB, Daniels has found his groove over the last couple of games. Blowouts have limited his field time but he should get plenty of opportunities this week against undefeated Arkansas. Daniels has thrown five touchdowns and just one interception over the last two games to get him back on the map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
