Here is a sweet treat recipe to add to your repertoire. Did you save the War Damn Eagles Spicy Pretzels recipe? This week we have a super easy snack that you can make a couple of days before. This recipe was sent to me by Christa Williams my resident Florida State fan. Then I googled a no-bake version to make them even easier. These are the perfect little sweet snack for tailgating. You can make them up to two days in advance. Store them in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.

Football Friday Tailgate Recipe: Oreo Cheesecake Bites

Ingredients:

24 – 48 chocolate sandwich cookies, ie: Oreos

12 oz. cream cheese softened

1/4 c. granulated sugar

3 tbsp. sour cream

1 tsp. vanilla extract

Pinch of kosher salt

1/2 c. heavy cream

Directions:

Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners. At least 6 hours or up to 2 days.

PRO TIP: How do you thicken no-bake cheesecake?

Properly whipped cream is key. If you don’t whip it to stiff peaks, your cream cheese mixture will deflate and never properly set in the refrigerator. Take care to gently fold in the whipped cream to the cream cheese mixture. If you over-mix it, you’ll lose the mousse-like, airy consistency. I got this handy pro tip from The Pioneer Woman dot com.

On The Menu

Up next week we have spinach and caramelized onion sliders. The recipe looks FANTASTIC. I cannot wait to try it. Enjoy the first weekend of the 2021 college football season. See you next Friday for another tasty tailgate treat.

Embed from Getty Images

Happy Football Friday.
