Now is when the 2016 season starts to get really interesting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DK\u2019s 2016 Week 10 CFB Game Picks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All game times in Eastern Daylight Time.<\/p>\n<p>Last Week: \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a06-4 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0(.600)<\/p>\n<p>2016 Season: 60-30 (.667)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Texas A&amp;M @ Mississippi State (Saturday, November 5<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong>, 12:00 p.m., SECN)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/trevor-knight-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trevor Knight<\/a><\/strong>-led<strong> Aggies <\/strong>were the CFP Committee\u2019s surprise choice for its fourth-place team in the first rankings of the 2016 season. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/kevin-sumlin-2.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Sumlin<\/a>\u2019s<\/strong> team was rewarded for challenging itself out-of-conference this season, and for remaining unbeaten save for its loss to #1 <strong>Alabama<\/strong>. With (a lot of) help, A&amp;M could still contend for the <strong>SEC West<\/strong> crown, so do not expect the Aggies to allow Mississippi State to derail that pursuit during a down year in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Pick: Texas A&amp;M 38, Mississippi State 20<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0\u201cBe Careful Here\u201d Game of the Week<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wisconsin @ Northwestern (Saturday, November 5<sup>th<\/sup>, 12:00 p.m., ABC)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=pat-fitzgerald-3,pat-fitzgerald-1&amp;search=Pat+Fitzgerald&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pat Fitzgerald<\/a><\/strong> proves his worth as a head coach in games like this one. He\u2019s already done it once this season with a surprise road win over <strong>Iowa<\/strong>, and he\u2019ll seek to do it again against the <strong>Badgers<\/strong>, fresh off a huge home win over <strong>Nebraska<\/strong>. The Wildcats have improved dramatically during this season (as usual), and gave <strong>Ohio State<\/strong> fits last week before succumbing to the Buckeyes\u2019 superior talent. <strong>Bucky<\/strong> should be able to eke out a win this week, but look for this game to be exceedingly close.<\/p>\n<p>Pick: Wisconsin 24, Northwestern 20<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em>\u201cUpset\u201d Special of the Week<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Oklahoma State @ Kansas State (Saturday, November 5<sup>h<\/sup>, 3:30 p.m., ABC\/ESPN2)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, Kansas State is a home favorite in this game. And, yes, <strong>Bill Snyder<\/strong>-coached teams are notoriously difficult to beat in the <strong>Little Apple<\/strong> in <strong>November<\/strong>. This juicy Week 10 contest will be no exception to that latter reality. Oklahoma State can light it up, though, and the <strong>Cowboys<\/strong> will bring their potent offense to the <strong>Kansas <\/strong>plains ready to ball out. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/mike-gundy-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Gundy<\/a>\u2019s<\/strong> squad will get the win.<\/p>\n<p>Pick: Oklahoma State 38, Kansas State 31<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Virginia Tech @ Duke (Saturday, November 5<sup>th<\/sup>, 3:30 p.m., ESPNU)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Duke football has come back to earth a bit during the 2016 season, while <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/justin-fuente-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Justin Fuentes<\/a><\/strong> has the <strong>Hokies\u2019<\/strong> offense humming during his inaugural season in Blacksburg. <strong>Bud Foster<\/strong> still has <strong>VT\u2019s<\/strong> scoring defense in the top 25 in the nation, and it\u2019ll give Duke fits all afternoon. The resurgent Hokies will get the win.<\/p>\n<p>Pick: Virginia Tech 42, Duke 24<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><em>Trap Game of the Week<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Georgia Tech @ North Carolina (Saturday, November 5<sup>th<\/sup>, 12:30 p.m., ACCN)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The<strong> Tarheels<\/strong> got by adjacent-state rival <strong>Virginia<\/strong> on the road last week, and they visit <strong>Tobacco Road<\/strong> rival Duke next week. This game will\u00a0feature\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=paul-johnson-2,paul-johnson-4&amp;search=Paul+Johnson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Paul Johnson<\/a>\u2019s<\/strong> hard-to-prepare-for wishbone attack. While this seems like a comfortable win for the superior talent on the UNC sideline, it will be anything but. <strong>Larry Fedora<\/strong> will run his <strong>ACC <\/strong>record to 17-3 over his last 20 games after this one, but it will be a struggle to get there.<\/p>\n<p>Pick: North Carolina 35, Georgia Tech 31<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><em>\u201cBe Careful Here\u201d Game of the Week #2<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>TCU @ Baylor (Saturday, November 5<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong>, 3:30 p.m., FOX)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How will the home-standing <strong>Bears<\/strong> react to that shocking upset win last weekend, which knocked them from the ranks of the unbeaten? This game will determine whether Baylor will be a contender for this season\u2019s <strong>Big XII<\/strong> title. A Baylor win sets the table for the biggest game on the season\u2019s Big XII calendar in Week 11, if they\u00a0can keep its wits about it at home against QB <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/kenny-hill-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kenny Hill<\/a><\/strong> and that revitalized <strong>Horned Frog<\/strong> passing game. The Bears will get it done, and prepare to do battle with the <strong>Sooners<\/strong> in the de facto Big XII Championship Game in <strong>Norman<\/strong> on November 12<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Pick: Baylor 48, TCU 35<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><em>\u201cBe Careful Here\u201d Game of the Week #3<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Florida @ Arkansas (Saturday, November 5<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong>, 3:30 p.m., CBS)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Gators<\/strong> will bring the nation\u2019s second-ranked scoring defense to <strong>Fayetteville<\/strong>. Florida holds the inside track to the <strong>SEC East<\/strong> title, but it will have to find enough offense to win this weekend\u2019s contest. QB <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/luke-del-rio-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Luke Del Rio<\/a><\/strong> should be back from injury this week, and should be able to provide just enough of a spark to get Florida the win.<\/p>\n<p>Pick: Florida 17, Arkansas 10<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Florida State @ North Carolina State (Saturday, November 5<sup>th<\/sup>, 7:30 p.m., BTN)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This <strong>ACC Atlantic<\/strong> contest will be high scoring, and highly entertaining. These teams have held many great battles with one another through the years, and there\u2019s little reason to believe that this year\u2019s contest will be much different. Florida State\u2019s defense has struggled to keep opponents out of the end zone. To be fair, it has had to deal with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=lamar-jackson-2,lamar-jackson-1&amp;search=Lamar+Jackson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lamar Jackson<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/deshaun-watson-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Deshaun Watson<\/a><\/strong> already this season. This tipping point in this one will be that <strong>NC State\u2019s<\/strong> offense has struggled even more than <strong>FSU\u2019s<\/strong> defense has. The <strong>Seminoles<\/strong> will get the road conference win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pick: Florida State 35, North Carolina State 30<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Iowa @ Penn State (Saturday, November 5<sup>th<\/sup>, 3:30 p.m., ESPN2)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/james-franklin-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">James Franklin<\/a>\u2019s<\/strong> <strong>Nittany Lions<\/strong> are among the season\u2019s biggest pleasant surprises. Penn State owns one of the best wins in the nation, after upsetting <strong>Ohio State<\/strong> a couple of weeks ago. Iowa remains a difficult out, but this season\u2019s schedule has proved as difficult for the <strong>Hawkeyes<\/strong> as last season\u2019s was favorable. Penn State can still win the <strong>B1G East<\/strong> if it wins out and if Ohio State knocks off <strong>Michigan<\/strong> for them. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/saquon-barkley-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Saquon Barkley<\/a><\/strong> and company will grind out a win over the visiting Hawkeyes, and keep Penn State&#8217;s conference division title hopes alive.<\/p>\n<p>Pick: Penn State 31, Iowa 24<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><em><strong>CFP\u00a0Implications Game of the Week<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Alabama @ Louisiana State (Saturday, November 5<sup>th<\/sup>, 8:00 p.m., CBS)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The premiere game on this week\u2019s slate pits top-ranked Alabama against <strong>SEC West<\/strong> nemesis <strong>LSU<\/strong> under the lights in <strong>Death Valley<\/strong>. <strong>LSU\u2019s <\/strong>offense seems to have righted itself, with QB <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/danny-etling-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Danny Etling<\/a><\/strong> revitalizing the <strong>Tigers <\/strong>formerly anemic passing game. Having <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/leonard-fournette-1.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Leonard Fournette<\/a><\/strong> to tote the rock will not hurt either. It addition to the national ranking implications, this game features old friends and former coaching staff mates <strong>Lane Kiffin<\/strong> and <strong>Ed Orgeron<\/strong> on opposing sidelines. Lane Kiffin will be standing alongside <strong>Nick Saban<\/strong>, though, and his presence will make the biggest difference.
