Tuimoloau will join Egbuka in Columbus after playing their high school ball less than 60 miles apart.

According to 247Sports Composite, Egbuka is the best wide receiver in the country, is the ninth-ranked player, and is the second-ranked Washington prospect behind Tuimoloau.

Egbuka had 35 offers, and chose Ohio State over Alabama, Clemson, Florida, and Michigan among others. But Brian Hartline, Ohio State’s wide receiver’s coach is proving to be one of the best recruiters in college football.

Ohio State landed the top receiver from the 2020 class, Julian Fleming. They now add Egbuka, the top receiver from this years’ class. In the 2022 class, the top receiver, Caleb Burton, has already committed to Ohio State.

Egbuka is 6’1″ and 190 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.42. He also adds a 35.1-inch vertical to his profile. His athleticism helps him make plays on both ends of the field; he can either catch the ball behind the line and make all 11 defenders miss, or he can go deep and haul in catches in the end zone. He has a great double move and routinely gets open despite frequent double coverage. But, if he needs to, he still shows the ability to make contested catches.

He also demonstrated instincts and intelligence on defense, and hauled in 17 interceptions in three seasons.

Egbuka also played defensive back, kick returner, and punt returner. He even punted 23 times in his career.

In his final season in 2019, he 83 receptions for 1,607 yards and 25 touchdowns. In his three-year high school career, he gained over 4,000 total yards from scrimmage and scored 70 total touchdowns.

Pretty much anything Ryan Day will ask him to do, he can do.

Ohio State Gets WR Emeka Egbuka Ohio State adds five-star wide receiver Emeka Egbuka to their 2021 recruiting class.
