We have arrived at the last week of the regular season as the tug of war continues with Kyle Trask<\/a> and Mac Jones<\/a>. Neither did anything to hurt their position with outstanding road performances. They are each in action on Saturday with one final chance to impress the pollsters before they meet head to head in the SEC Championship Game on December 19th. So, with that in mind, let’s take a look as we unveil our week 13 2020 Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

Trevor Lawrence<\/a> and Justin Fields<\/a> are down, but not out. Even though both are not playing this week, they will have the national stage on Championship Weekend to provide their final push. But, perhaps nobody is playing better than Devonta Smith<\/a>. He has five straight 100-yard performances with two of those going for over 200 yards. Having said that, let’s look at the extended leader board in our week 13 2020 Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

Trask was a little more impressive with a 433-yard, four-touchdown performance against Tennessee last week in Neyland Stadium. That was enough to get him back into the top spot in this week’s Heisman rankings. The Gators will have one final tune-up as they entertain LSU this weekend for their home finale.<\/p>\n

The Tide cruised to an expected and lopsided victory over LSU last Saturday night. Jones threw for four touchdowns in a little over a half as the game was out of reach by halftime. He will attempt to keep pace with Trask this week as Alabama travels to Arkansas for the final game of the regular season. However, this Heisman may come down to next week in Atlanta.<\/p>\n

Lawrence needed a huge game against Virginia Tech to end the season and just didn’t get there. He was only 12 for 22 with 195 yards and had a touchdown and an interception each. However, he did add 41 yards and a couple of scores on the ground. Lawrence will be forced to watch Trask and Jones have another data point as he prepares for Notre Dame on December 19th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fields will miss the national spotlight this week as the game against Michigan has been canceled due to Covid issues within the Wolverine program. However, he had an excellent bounce-back game against Michigan State with 303 total yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns. With only five games played, Fields will have to make a statement in the Big 10 Championship Game on December 19th.<\/p>\n

We finally have a wide receiver sneak into the top five. Smith has been on a tear since the injury to Jaylen Waddle<\/a>. Smith had eight catches for 231 yards and three touchdowns against LSU. He’ll look to continue his incredible hot streak as the Crimson Tide travel to Arkansas. The big question remains, will Jones and Smith steal Heisman votes from each other?<\/p>\n
