A rivalry game wrapped in a bowl package. This year the Armed Forces Bowl will be renewing The Battle For The Bell 30-year rivalry.\u00a0 It has unfortunately been on a 10-year hiatus due to conference expansion and realignments.\u00a0 The Southern Miss Golden Eagles lead the series over the Tulane Green Wave, 23-7.\u00a0 So, they will be competing for the Bell as well as The Armed Forces Bowl Trophy.\u00a0 While the AFB trophy was traveling the country, The Bell got a fresh paint job for the special occasion.<\/p>\n<h3>Armed Forces Bowl Preview and Game Day Guide<\/h3>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/BradSmithUSM\/status\/1210662218548875264?s=20<\/p>\n<h3>Southern Miss Golden Eagles<\/h3>\n<p>Southern Miss finished the regular season with a No. 23 ranking in passing.\u00a0 They utilized a solid passing game during the 2019 regular season with an average of 288.6 yards per game.\u00a0 The experienced offensive line made things easier for junior quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/jack-abraham-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack Abraham<\/a>, who threw for 3,329 yards this season while hitting 13 different receivers. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/tim-jones-8.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tim Jones<\/a> leads the pack with 66 catches.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/quez-watkins-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quez Watkins<\/a> had 55 receptions for 1,052 yards.\u00a0 They should also have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/jordan-mitchell-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jordan Mitchell<\/a> back at full strength after he missed most of the season due to injury. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/kevin-perkins-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Perkins<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/demichael-harris-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">De&#8217;Michael Harris<\/a> should make an impact on the ground for the Golden Eagles.<\/p>\n<h3>Tulane Green Wave<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">The Green Wave averaged 33.3 points per game this season and ran for nearly 3,000 yards and 22 touchdowns.\u00a0 Lead by quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/justin-mcmillan-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Justin McMillan<\/a>, a graduate transfer from LSU, passed for 2,229 yards and rushed for 704 with 26 total touchdowns. Running back <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/corey-dauphine-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Corey Dauphine<\/a>, with 7 touchdowns leads the backfield. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/amare-jones-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Amare Jones<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/cameron-carroll-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cameron Carroll<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/darius-bradwell-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Darius Bradwell<\/a> all rushed for a combined 1,117 yards and 10 touchdowns.<\/p>\n<h3>Bowl Week Activities<\/h3>\n<h3>Kickoff Luncheon<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\">You can attend the Kickoff Luncheon on Friday, January 3rd at 11:30 am. <strong>Darren Woodson<\/strong>, a three-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Pro Bowl selection for the Dallas Cowboys, will serve as the keynote speaker. The coaches and players for Southern Miss and Tulane will be in attendance.\u00a0 The luncheon will be held at the Fort Worth Convention Center. A limited amount of tickets are available to the public. Lot 3 outside Amon G. Carter Stadium.\u00a0 The fans can enjoy the family-friendly interactive displays in the Lockheed Martin Techno Zone.\u00a0 There will be current and vintage military hardware, numerous food trucks, as well as team pep rallies and more.\u00a0\u00a0Be sure to check out the Military OneSource Family Zone where you can kick a field goal, get your face painted, and toss a football.\u00a0 The American Red Cross is sponsoring the Veterans Village inside the tailgate.\u00a0 The Veterans Village is made up of non-profit military organizations designed to provide assistance to our armed forces veterans.<\/p>\n<h3>During The Game<\/h3>\n<p>All branches of the armed forces will be featured during the game.
