The Oklahoma Sooners<\/a> have officially signed Josh Ellison<\/strong>, a 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive tackle out of Blinn College in College Station, Texas. Ellison is a four-star recruit, per the 247 Sports<\/a> composite. He also had offers from Texas A&M and Texas Tech.<\/p>\n

Oklahoma Sooners Sign Josh Ellison<\/h2>\n

Ellison comes in as the second-ranked defensive tackle in the country in the junior college ranks. In fact, the Sooners also signed the top-ranked JUCO defensive tackle in Perrion Winfrey.<\/p>\n

Like Winfrey, Ellison has the size and athletic ability to compete for a starting spot right away. The signing of Ellison moved quickly as he de-committed from Texas A&M on December 3rd and announced his commitment to Oklahoma on December 16th.<\/p>\n

The influx of talent on the defensive side of the ball shows a real trend for Oklahoma turning the tide in their defensive recruiting. In fact, the improvement this year on the field is clear.\u00a0 It has paid dividends the recruiting trail.<\/p>\n
