Here we are on the last weekend of the regular season and we have some huge games in the Heisman race. While it may be true that Joe Burrow<\/a><\/strong> has a substantial lead, last year is an indicator that anything can happen with this award. With that being said, let’s see exactly how big of a lead that Burrow has amassed in our week 13 2019 Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

Chase Young<\/a><\/strong> was the big winner this week as he made his presence felt with another incredible performance on a national stage. Can he make it back to back weeks as the Buckeyes face Michigan? Huge games this week for Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Wisconsin could change the landscape for Championship Saturday. But, before that, let’s unveil our week 13 2019 Heisman rankings.<\/p>\n

Burrow and LSU did exactly what everyone thought they would do and dominate Arkansas. He added 300 more yards and three more touchdowns to eclipse 4,000 yards and 40 touchdown passes for the season. He is the prohibitive favorite heading into the last two weeks of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Justin Fields<\/a><\/h2>\n

Fields has possibly the most impressive stat line as any of the Heisman contenders with 33 touchdown passes and only one interception. His only glaring blemish on Saturday against Penn State was two fumbles. Although, he did appear a little rattled at times. He will certainly have his toughest matchup of the year as the Buckeyes head to the Big House to face one of the hottest teams in the country.<\/p>\n

It’s a story of good, bad, and the ugly for Hurts this season. He has accounted for more total yards and touchdowns than any of the Heisman contenders. But, he’s become something of a turnover machine over the last few games. And, against TCU, he struggled to get the ball downfield with only a 52% completion percentage. Hurts has one last hurdle in the regular season against Oklahoma State in Bedlam on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young certainly knows how to make an entrance on the national stage. A few weeks ago, he announced his Heisman candidacy by making six tackles and four sacks against Wisconsin. This week, he had nine tackles and three more sacks against Penn State giving him 16.5 on the season. Young is the most dominant individual player in college football. He may not win the award, but he certainly deserves an invite to New York.<\/p>\n

5. Jonathan Taylor<\/a><\/h2>\n

Taylor continues to put Wisconsin on his back and play at an extremely high level. It’s hard to believe that anyone had a better month than Taylor with his 679 yards rushing and three touchdowns in three games. This week, Wisconsin travels to Minnesota for a chance at redemption against Ohio State and if he’s able to get another 200-yard game this week, they may just get that chance.<\/p>\n
