Back in October, however, the <em>Richmond Times-Dispatch\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.richmond.com\/sports\/high-school\/football\/highland-springs-receiver-ali-jennings-commits-to-west-virginia\/article_597286d2-d8db-11e8-ba4c-7779a2b54496.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ran a story about Highland Springs wideout Jennings<\/a>. Then, the paper wrote that Jennings committed to the Mountaineers. And it quoted Jennings, \u201cHonestly, WVU just felt right.\u201d Jennings was not happy with the article. He never confirmed that pledge, and he was upset that the local paper broke his announcement before he was ready.<\/p>\n<p>At 6-2, 186, Jennings is a big-bodied receiver with just as big a character. He is a three-star recruit in the 247Sports composite rankings. Jennings, from Highland Springs, Virginia is excited to visit\u00a0the children at Ruby Memorial Hospital right across the street from his new home field. He even did so on his official visit this past weekend. Jennings seems as genuinely interested in giving his time to the people of West Virginia off the field as he does on it. In this way,\u00a0Jennings will maintain an important Mountaineer tradition by giving back to fans and members of the close-knit West Virginia community.<\/p>\n<p>Jennings\u2019 decision marks the third wide receiver commitment of the class. He will join speedsters Winston Wright and Terence Dotson as incoming freshmen wideouts. West Virginia will begin the 2019 season with at least 12 receivers competing for playing time.
