Top 25 Week 12<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Week 12 saw little shake up at the top of the polls. The highest ranked team from our Week 11 poll to lose was 12th-ranked Oklahoma State<\/strong>. And only two other teams from our Week 11 poll lost, 19th-ranked Michigan<\/strong> and 24th-ranked North Carolina State<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But fear not; in the era of resumes, even movement at the bottom of the polls can affect teams at the top. Quality of wins, quality of losses, and strengths of schedule all way heavily in the minds of our voters. And voters see things differently from week-to-week, as evidenced by Miami<\/strong> jumping Clemson<\/strong> in this week’s poll. That’s only a change of two points in one week — that’s how close things are at the second and third spots in our poll.<\/p>\n

Thanksgiving week is upon us. That means Turkey and Football. And with the football, it often means rivalry week. There are some big games that will go a long way to shaping the top of the rankings.<\/p>\n

Alabama<\/strong> travels to The Plains to take on Auburn<\/strong> in a game that will determine the SEC West Champion. Ohio State<\/strong> makes a trip to the Big House to take on Michigan<\/strong> and keep their slim playoff chances alive. In a season of disappointments, Michigan would like nothing more than to ruin Ohio State’s CFP hopes. With the Pac-12 North title on the line, Washington State<\/strong> travels to Seattle to take on Washington<\/strong> in the Apple Cup. A loss there puts Stanford<\/strong> in the Pac-12 title game opposite of USC<\/strong>. Meanwhile, the Cardinal are hosting Notre Dame<\/strong>; the Irish looking to keep their top ten ranking resume in tact for a possible New Year’s Six Bowl.<\/p>\n

It promises to be a weekend to be very thankful for.<\/p>\n
