Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of their top offensive commits. Four-star offensive tackle and Florida commit William Harrod has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is a big signing for the Gators as they landed Harrod on his official visit early September. Florida head coach Dan Mullen likes Harrod’s skillset as he’s a perfect fit and can really make a huge impact on the Florida Gators offense in the future. This is the sixth OT Mullen has signed in his first two recruiting classes at the University of Florida. William Harrod is the third offensive tackle signee this class with Wardrick Wilson and Michael Tarquin.
Who is William Harrod?
William Harrod is a four-star offensive tackle out of National Christian Academy in Fort Washington, Maryland. The Florida offensive tackle commit is one of the top offensive tackles in the country. He was a tough get for the Gators as Florida had to beat out the Wolverines for Harrod. He really took off in recruiting once he started receiving offers from some of the top programs. Harrod signed with Florida over Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Oregon.
On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Harrod is the 307th ranked recruit and the 27th ranked offensive tackle in the country. On ESPN, Harrod is the 268th ranked recruit and the 30th ranked offensive tackle in the country. The Gators have added a really solid offensive tackle who could really make an impact in the future. Being an early enrollee, Harrod will get to Florida in January and learn the playbook quickly. Harrod will be competing for the starting offensive tackle job as Florida might lose both of their starting OTs.
