All-American OLB Tyron Hopper signs with Florida

Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators coaching staff have signed one of their top defensive commits. Four-star outside linebacker and Florida commit Tyron Hopper has signed his NLI to the University of Florida. This is a huge signing for Florida as he remained committed as many teams tried to flip him. Mullen likes Hopper’s skill set as he’s a perfect fit and can really make a huge impact on the Florida Gators defense in the future. This is the fifth linebacker Mullen has signed in his first two recruiting classes at the University of Florida. Tyron Hopper is the fourth linebacker in the class with Diwun Black, Jesiah Pierre and Mohamoud Diabate.

Who is Tyron Hopper?

Tyron Hopper is a four-star outside linebacker out of Roswell High School in Roswell, Georgia. The Florida outside linebacker commit is one of the top linebackers in the country. He was a tough get for the Gators as Florida had to fight off some of the top SEC programs. Hopper really took off in recruiting once he committed to Florida and schools recruited him harder. Hopper signed with Florida over Alabama, Miami, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.

On 247 Sports, Hopper is the 92nd ranked recruit and the sixth ranked outside linebacker in the country. On Rivals, Hopper is the 129th ranked recruit and the eighth ranked outside linebacker in the country. The Gators have added an elite outside linebacker who could really make an impact in the future. Being an early signee, Hopper is currently locked in with the Florida Gators 2019 recruiting class. The All-American outside linebacker committed early in the recruiting process and stayed solid with the Gators.
