Week five saw some outstanding performances from our leaders. The quarterbacks continued to flex their muscles. Between Tua Tagovailoa, Will Grier, and Kyler Murray the collective group went 52 for 70 for 930 yards with 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Consistency is the name of the game as our top five remained the same. However, we’ve got some big games this weekend which could provide some movement. We’ll look at the movers and shakers in the week five Heisman rankings.
Now, we had one specific player who just missed out on this weeks list with near misses. Trace McSorley had a tremendous game, but due to their loss against Ohio State, he did not make our list this week. Now, Let’s find out about the complete list as we dive right into our week five Heisman rankings.

Top Five Candidates
1. Tua Tagovailoa
QB | Alabama Next Game: 10/06 at Arkansas
Just a walk in the park. Tagovailoa barely broke a sweat as the Tide jumped out early against Louisiana Lafayette. He is still without an interception on the season. The Tide are on the road this week against Arkansas which has struggled early on but did show signs of life this past weekend against Texas A&M.

2. Will Grier
QB | West Virginia Next Game: 10/06 vs Kansas
In a bit of a change of pace from the previous week, Grier and the Mountaineers dominated early. However, they had to scramble late to hold on for a win in Lubbock last week. Grier should be able to put up great numbers this week as they host Kansas in Morgantown.

3. Kyler Murray
QB | Oklahoma Next Game: 10/06 vs Texas
Murray was forced to sit out the first series as Oklahoma hosted Baylor. However, after that, he played like a man with his hair on fire. He accounted for seven total touchdowns as the Sooner offense was clicking on all cylinders. This weekend, Oklahoma travels to Dallas to face Texas in the annual Red River Showdown.

4. Dwayne Haskins
QB | Ohio State Next Game: 10/06 vs Indiana
It was a tough start early on as Buckeyes offense struggled in Happy Valley in the first half. The offense caught fire in the second half to pull out a victory over the upset-minded Nittany Lions. Haskins and the Buckeyes return home to face Indiana this week.

5. Benny Snell
RB | Kentucky Next Game: 10/06 at Texas A&M
The Kentucky dream season continues. Benny Snell has spearheaded that effort with nearly another 100-yard performance against South Carolina. He had 99 yards to be exact with another score to make the Cats 5-0 on the year. Snell and the Cats take their show on the road at Kyle Field to take on Texas A&M this weekend.
