LSU has landed a commitment from four-star quarterback Myles Brennan. Brennan is from St. Stanislaus in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. Coming out of high school, Brennan was rated as a four-star and was recruited by many schools. He eventually chose LSU and stuck with his commitment. He also has recruited players to join him with the Tigers, but it is unknown whether those players will follow him to Baton Rouge or go elsewhere.
Brennan is a pro-style quarterback that will fit well in the LSU system. New offensive coordinator Matt Canada will have no trouble developing Brennan into the playmaker that Tiger Nation has their speculations about. Many believe Brennan will come in and start right away, though he will have to outwork at least two other quarterbacks in Lowell Narcisse and Brandon Harris.
Coming out of high school, the LSU commit has piled up 15,027 yards with 165 touchdowns. He also racked up 987 completions, averaging 357.8 yards per game. Those are good numbers to be excited for if you live in Louisiana and pull for the Tigers. Whenever he gets the chance to play, Brennan will shine and lead LSU in the right direction.
Let’s take a look at how Brennan will fit into the system at LSU.
How Myles Brennan will fit into LSU’s system:
Being a pro-style quarterback at LSU sounds perfect. The Tigers have had plenty of pro-style guys in their history, and Brennan is the next in line. Tiger fans will be excited to see Brennan air the ball out and hit receivers in stride. If he starts in 2017, the Tigers should be in good hands. Under Matt Canada, Brennan will learn the offense quickly and adapt to the Tigers’ style of play. Though the Tigers have other quarterbacks on the roster, many believe that Myles Brennan is the next LSU great.
