Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Edmonton Eskimos:
Chris Streveler’s under centre for the Bombers, which means Winnipeg will rely even more on their tenacious ground game. The story in Winnipeg and Edmonton’s matchup was the Esks not being able to find the end zone despite doubling up the Bombers in yards. On Friday, it’s going to be crucial for both Streveler and Trevor Harris to get sevens rather than threes. The under has hit in six of the last seven Winnipeg-Edmonton matchups, and these defences should hold the upper hand. Esks capitalize on Bombers injuries, win by six.

Ottawa Redblacks @ Saskatchewan Roughriders:
Ottawa has lost six of their last seven and haven’t scored two offensive touchdowns in a game since Week 5. Keep in mind that Dom Davis’ group did put up 44 on the Riders in Week 2, and odd things tend to happen when these teams meet (Duron Carter pick-six, frequent offensive outbursts). Joe Paopao calling Ottawa’s plays could be the break they need on offence. The Riders also caught a massive break last week, and water always finds its level. Everything points Saskatchewan, but let’s get weird. Ottawa by four in a thriller.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ B.C. Lions:
Will Dane Evans need to engineer a 15-point fourth-quarter comeback Saturday? Probably not. Instead, the Ti-Cats should roll on offence with a balanced attack with the likes of Brandon Banks and Cameron Marshall. At 1-9, B.C. has to be deflated. They blew their chance two weeks ago in Hamilton, and Mike Reilly’s heart can’t win a game itself. But Reilly will try, and the Ti-Cats will counter on offence. The over has hit in nine of the last Hamilton-B.C. meetings. First to 35 has been a theme; Ti-Cats hit it and win by six.

Montreal Alouettes @ Toronto Argonauts:
Montreal and Toronto squaring off in Moncton is a massive advantage for the Argonauts in terms of travel and rest. Problem is, not much else is looking up for Toronto. The Argos are getting outscored by 19 per points per game while the Alouettes are turning the corner with Vernon Adams Jr. Montreal’s averaging the most rushing yards per game, while Toronto’s averaging the most against. Expect long, clock-running drives and not many points — the under has hit in 17 of their last 22 meetings. Montreal by 11.
