Saskatoon was given the ninth franchise of Canada's top-tier pro men's soccer league, the Canadian Premier League (CPL), in the condition of a new stadium. Living Sky Sports and Entertainment Inc. (LSSE) plans to create this stadium at Prairieland Park. If Saskatoon gets a team, it means that all four western provinces of Canada will have at least one team in the CPL.
