Ken Campbell of The Hockey News took to Twitter last night to share his opinion on how the WJC should only consist of Canada, Sweden, Finland, and the USA. Quoting yesterday's massive goal differently between all the teams is the reason why. Do you agree, or do smaller countries, like Austria and Germany, still need to be involved?

You're leaving out the Czechs, Slovaks and the Russians. I think COVID really jerked with a developing Germany squad and the lack of game time messed with the other countries. This isn't a trend. It's just a one-year anomaly.

The tournament is fine. It sucks what happened to Germany but as we saw the games that matter to them was against Slovakia and Switzerland. That's all that matter. Remember the big five always have a chance but if the Czechs and Slovaks are gonna play like this then the tournament is fine.

Dan Mount

Saw an idea where you could do a summer warmup tourney and or showcase for the non-big teams. Might give them something to play for.

There is no need to reduce it. Just look at that Switzerland and Germany game. Germany off to the quarters for the first time. Yeah we're they short handed to start. But they won the big games against the Slovaks and the Swiss. The emotion was there. Plus what a performance by JJ Peturka of Germany. We would miss that. Not to mention Nico Hischier rose his draft stock in this tournament.

Dan Mount

Germany showed a lot of guts to get to the quarters after they could have packed it in. The tournament is fine.
