Week 15 Thursday Night Football Player Props

Geno Smith Under 1.5 Touchdown Passes

Smith takes the first snap in our Week 15 TNF player props. He played arguably his worst game of the season in the Seahawks’ first matchup with the 49ers. It was in Week 2 and in San Francisco, so plenty has changed. However, the Niners are still 3.5-point favorites in Seattle. Playing at home is nice, but it’s not uncommon for offenses to struggle on the short week.

Smith has only been held to fewer than two touchdown passes on two occasions, but Thursday offers a good chance at adding a third.

Brandon Aiyuk Over 51.5 Receiving Yards

Deebo Samuel went down with a high-ankle sprain in Week 14, freeing up a considerable amount of opportunity for Aiyuk. Samuel’s volume through 14 weeks accounted for 22.6% of the team’s targets and 14.6% of the touches.

Aiyuk, second on the team in targets, may not handle the carries Deebo receives, but he’s almost sure to see more passes flowing his way. He averages a healthy 13 yards per reception, so an uptick in target volume should lead to an Over.

Christian McCaffrey Over 117.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards

It only took McCaffrey seven games to take over the team lead in touches. His volume only stands to increase with the absences of Samuel and fellow running back Elijah Mitchell.

The total may feel like a hefty number on a short week, but McCaffrey only handled 16 touches on Sunday, so he’s not coming off of a workload that precludes him from being heavily involved once again.

DK Metcalf Under 66.5 Receiving Yards

Metcalf is on a nice run of late, hitting at least 67 yards in his last four. However, that stretch came after a four-game run in which he averaged a meager 34.5 yards per game. The Niners held Metcalf to a 4-35 line on six targets in their Week 2 meeting.

Metcalf should be able to improve upon his first performance against San Francisco, but we’re leaning to the Under overall.
