NBA Player Props | Tuesday, Dec. 20

Lauri Markkanen Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made

We’re tipping off our Tuesday NBA player props with Markkanen, who has been hyper efficient from three-point range of late. He’s shooting 49.4% on 7.9 shots from distance over his last 11 games. That includes hitting at least three triples on nine occasions over that span.

The Pistons are middle of the pack when it comes to three-point defense. The Jazz, meanwhile, are 2.5-point favorites despite heading into the second leg of a back-to-back on the road.

Jordan Clarkson Over 20.5 Points

Clarkson is far from the game’s most efficient shooter, but he’s enjoyed a good season overall. He leads the team in shot attempts, something we can reasonably expect again tonight.

The Pistons are terrible defensively – they rank 29th in both points allowed and defensive efficiency. Clarkson is averaging 22.8 points over his last nine contests, and his numbers in the second leg of back-to-backs have been strong this season (seven games).

Jordan Poole Under 5.5 Assists

Poole is averaging 4.6 assists per game overall but only 4.4 during the month of December despite increased minutes. He’s coming off a six-assist performance, but Draymond Green shot uncharacteristically well (7 for 15 overall, 3 for 6 from three-point range).

It’s risky to bank on another shooting night like Green just enjoyed. Not to mention, Klay Thompson continues to struggle with his shot (39.4% from the field in December). The Knicks rank eighth in defensive efficiency, have limited opponents to 98.3 points over their seven-game win streak, and are 4.5-point home favorites tonight.

Ja Morant Over 8.5 Assists

Morant is a prime candidate to bounce back following his ejection after logging a mere 16 minutes in a bad loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He averaged 9.4 assists in the 10 games prior to Saturday’s letdown, and hit double figures in seven of them.

The Nuggets are not a particularly stingy defensive unit, plus they’re dealing with some nicks and bumps. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Jeff Green, and Jamal Murray each have “questionable” tags. The Grizzlies are listed as short road favorites with healthy game totals at the top NBA betting sites.
