Josh Morrisey Over 0.5 Assists

Josh Morrisey has been in the giving spirit all season long. The veteran D-man has already dished out 20 assists on the year – just six away from his career high.

Morrisey leads the Jets in points in what has been a breakout campaign at age 27. He’s notched nine points in his last five games, including five helpers.

Winnipeg is rolling right now, coming off a 5-0 win against the defending Stanley Cup champion Avalanche.

Tonight, they’ll face the bottom-dwelling Blue Jackets, who are ranked 31st in the NHL in goals against (4.1).

Johnny Gaudreau Over 0.5 Points

Johnny Gaudreau was supposed to be the savior for Columbus after being acquired in free agency this offseason. That hasn’t quite happened, but the winger has still had a productive season.

Gaudreau leads the team in scoring, averaging over a point a game (22). With seven points in his last four games, Johnny Hockey is starting to feel it.

He’ll be in tough on the road against the Jets, but if anyone on the Blue Jackets is going to put up points, he’s the man. Gaudreau has faced Winnipeg 27 times in his career and has registered 27 points.

Cam Talbot Over 29.5 Saves

Cam Talbot should expect a good puck-pelting tonight. The Senators play a wide-open style that leads to a lot of shots both ways.

They rank 27th in the league at shots on goal allowed at 33.7. Their opponent, the Rangers, are the fourth-best team in the league at putting pucks on net (34.3).

New York tallied 74 shots in the last two games, including 36 against Talbot and Ottawa two nights ago. The Sens goaltender has been solid this season, stopping 31 or more pucks in five of the last seven full games he’s played.

Brock Nelson Anytime Goal Scorer

Brock Nelson has been carrying the goal-scoring load for the Islanders this season. The veteran had a career-best 37 last year and has returned for an encore with 11 so far this campaign.

New York should be rested, having played just one game over the previous six nights. They’ll face a Predators team that sits in the middle of the pack in goals against (3.1, 15th).

Nelson has buried the biscuit in two of his last three contests and will look to stay hot.
