D’Angelo Russell Over 20.5 Points

Russell hit the ground running upon returning from a lengthy ankle injury, pouring in 28 and 33 points in his first two games back. He led the team in usage in both contests too, one of which included Anthony Davis.

Offense will continue to flow through Russell and Davis for the foreseeable future, suggesting the former will see heavy volume once again. While the Pelicans rank eighth in defensive efficiency, they’re 3-7 in their last 10, both straight-up and against the spread.

Mikal Bridges Over 2.5 Threes

Bridges continues to soar in his new digs. He’s averaging 2.7 made threes in 13 contests as a Net, and he’s been even deadlier from beyond the arc of late, nailing 3.2 treys at a 48.7% clip over his last six.

The Thunder do a respectable job defending the three, but they do allow a lot of volume from beyond the arc. Bridges will continue making a habit of leading the Nets in usage rate and field goal attempts, and that should allow him to hit the Over in tonight’s contest.

Paolo Banchero Over 21.5 Points

Banchero has certainly had some ups and downs throughout his impressive rookie season – which is to be expected. However, 21.5 points feels conservative against an uptempo Spurs team that surrenders volume and efficiency.

Volume and efficiency will be key for Banchero, who is working himself out of a recent slump. He’s attempting 18.6 shots over his last five, converting at a 45.2% clip – including 40.9% from deep. That has been good for 24 PPG over that span.

Evan Mobley Under 31.5 Points + Rebounds

Mobley is certainly capable of reaching 32 combined points and rebounds in any given contest, especially against the offensively and defensively challenged Hornets. However, given the usage distribution the Cavs currently employ, we’re going to side with him falling just Under.

Mobley is an efficient scorer, but volume is the concern – he’s averaging 13.8 shots over his last 10 and remains the third option behind Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland. Also, while Mobley has delivered some massive games on the glass, and while the Hornets figure to provide plenty of rebounding opportunities, we’re not anticipating an explosion on the boards.
