Jayson Tatum Under 31.5 Points

Considering the Mavericks’ slow pace, Tatum needs to be efficient to hit the mark in this spot. However, he’s shooting 44.1% from the floor and 22.7% from beyond the arc over his last three. And he’s scored fewer than 32 points in five of eight.

There’s no denying that Tatum, a top NBA MVP challenger, can turn around his mini slump at a moment’s notice. We’re siding with the Under here nonetheless. Tatum shoots and scores better at home, and with Jaylen Brown on a nice run, Tatum isn’t required to do all the heavy lifting.

Jayson Tatum Over 2.5 Turnovers

It’s not often you feel as if you’re picking on one of the game’s ascending megastars. Of course, betting on a player with a 32.6% usage rate to commit three turnovers is hardly “picking”.

Tatum turns the ball over more on the road, something he did nine times across his last two games – both road defeats. The Mavs do a respectable job of forcing takeaways, but this is more about Tatum’s heavy usage and the myriad ways a player can cough up the rock.

Jaylen Brown Under 9.5 Assists + Rebounds

Brown is on a bit of a scoring tear of late, averaging 28.6 across his last 10 games. However, his production in the supporting stats has been relatively modest. That’s especially the case in the assist department, where he’s averaging 2.8 over that same span.

The Mavs play at a slow pace which limits possessions and shot attempts. That’s key, because in spite of a few big rebounding performances, Brown has been good-not-great in that area.

Luka Doncic Over 17.5 Assists + Rebounds

Doncic is averaging 9.5 assists and 10.4 rebounds across his last eight games, a stretch in which he’s also averaging 38.4 minutes. There’s not a lot to dissect in terms of Doncic’s rebounding outlook. Bettors can expect him to routinely lead the team in boards. We also like him to flirt with a dollar’s worth of dimes in this contest.

The Mavs, winners of seven straight, are playing at a high level right now. Not to mention, they’re on their home floor, where they’re 15-5 on the season. Between the team’s form and Doncic’s individual prowess, we’re comfortable betting on him to reach 18 combined boards and assists.
