Jayson Tatum Over 28.5 Points

Tatum basically had a half game off in Game 2, playing 19 minutes and hitting 1 of 7 shots from the field. The Celtics still have their backs against the wall and need to steal a game in Philly.

Twenty-plus shots — including plenty from three — and a handful of trips to the foul line should provide enough volume for Tatum to reach 29 points.

Joel Embiid Over 9.5 Points | Over 2.5 Steals + Blocks

Embiid receives his MVP trophy in front of what will likely be a rabid Friday night Philly crowd. He only played 27 minutes and shot 4 of 9 from the field in Game 2, but the general sentiment is that he will have played off his rust.

He still blocked five shots, and even he’s not firing on all cylinders, he should have the juice to rack up effort stats. Embiid’s rim protection has been on display, but he also has a steal in three of four postseason games.

Tyrese Maxey Over 20.5 Points

Maxey struggled in Game 2 and it won’t be a surprise to see him come out playing aggressively. Embiid is still working his way back, and James Harden is no longer best deployed as a scoring juggernaut — his 45-point Game 1 explosion notwithstanding.

The Sixers need Maxey to be the third dynamic weapon to complement Harden and Embiid. We’re backing him to hit the Over here.

Tyrese Maxey (+4.5 Points) vs. Jaylen Brown

If you’re on board with Tatum going Over, you’re likely willing to accept Brown returning to his 1B role in Game 3. And if you’re buying Maxey enjoying a big game at home, getting 4.5 points is too much to pass up.
