Does Atlanta Tie the Series in Game 4?
The Atlanta Hawks broke through with a win on Friday night after trailing by 16 points in the third quarter. It was the third time in the last two postseasons that the Hawks won after trailing by at least 16 points. Trae Young has still shot poorly from three in this series, but he came through with a floater with 4.4 seconds left to give the Hawks a 111-110 win. Young finished with 24 points and was 2-of-6 from three.
Miami only got 20 points from Jimmy Butler this time after his 45-point explosion in Game 2. Butler missed a game-winning three-point shot at the buzzer after a disorganized final possession. The Heat’s bench struggled, and the offense fell off when Kyle Lowry left late in the third quarter with a hamstring injury that has the potential to keep him out of Game 4.
Miami is still not getting enough from Bam Adebayo in this series, but Tyler Herro did lead the team with 24 points in Game 3. The Hawks are not shooting well from three, but they finished over 50% from the field for just the second time in seven meetings with Miami’s strong defense this season.
Game 4 has a good chance to be the closest, most exciting game yet in the series. But the Heat are still a legitimate favorite and will be looking to avenge this blown lead.
