Jayson Tatum Over 5.5 Assists

Marcus Smart (doubtful, knee) will likely miss tonight’s contest, leaving Tatum to handle increased usage. Boston is favored by 8 at home with a healthy total, suggesting a quality offensive showing.

We’re rolling the dice on Tatum collecting at least six assists. Tatum hit the Over in two of four games in which Smart missed this season, including 18 dimes across two contests in November. Additionally, the Bulls also allow the most assists per game in the league.

Jaylen Brown Under 2.5 Three-Pointers

In spite of some nice performances from beyond the arch, Brown is not a prolific three-point marksman. He’s hit at least three three-pointers in 16 games. However, it took double-digit attempts in eight of them.

Brown is hitting 33.5% of his three-point attempts overall and 31% over his last 10. The path to three long-range conversions requires hefty volume – he averages 7.5 attempts per game – or increased efficiency. That is an equation we’re willing to bet against in this spot.

DeMar DeRozan Over 26.5 Points

DeRozan is averaging 28.2 points across his last 10 games, playing tons of minutes (39.1), and attempting 21 shots. He’s shooting 49.5% and getting to the line frequently as well.

Boston allows the fewest free throw attempts per game, so DeRozan needs to do his heavy lifting from the field. That’s okay though, especially with Boston’s top perimeter defender slated to miss tonight’s contest. DeRozan is averaging 33 points in three games against the Celtics this season.

Zach LaVine Over 2.5 Three-Pointers

LaVine is in the midst of a white-hot stretch from three-point land. He’s hitting 51.4% of his 7.4 long-range attempts across his last 10. That includes hitting 17 of 25 across his previous two outings.

It’s unlikely that LaVine shoots 68% from three against the Celtics tonight. They’re expected to be without their best on-ball defender though, making the path to three three-pointers easier for LaVine — in theory, at least.
