Terence Davis<\/a> was reported earlier in the offseason to have a workout<\/a> lined up with the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>. Apparently, the 27-year-old showed the team enough for them to give him an opportunity to join the team. Per Eric Nehm of The Athletic, Davis is joining Milwaukee on an Exhibit 10 deal.<\/p>\n

An Exhibit 10 deal is non-guaranteed, so there certainly are no assurances that Davis will make the Bucks opening night roster. Davis has previously stated that he wants to get back into the NBA, as he spent last season playing in the G League.<\/p>\n

Davis Previously Had Workout For Bucks<\/h3>\n

It will certainly be a tough road for the six-foot-four Davis to make the Bucks roster. Milwaukee currently has 14 players on guaranteed deals. While that would leave one open spot on their roster, Andre Jackson Jr.<\/a> has about half of his $1.89 million contract guaranteed.<\/p>\n

While Davis\u2019 shooting guard position was once a need for the Bucks after Malik Beasley<\/a> signed with the Detroit Pistons<\/a>, it became less of one as Milwaukee brought in Gary Trent Jr<\/a>. Still, Davis has made it evident that he wants a shot back in the NBA rather than begin a new chapter in his life by playing overseas. Davis spoke with HoopsHype back in January and had this to say<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think only a few people know this: I turned down a good amount of money to play overseas in Greece, in the Euroleague. I said no, as I want to get back in the NBA and to stay in, you have to play in the G League.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In the interview, Davis also spoke about not wanting to uproot his wife and newborn child to a new country.<\/p>\n

Has Played 4 Seasons In The NBA For 2 Different Teams<\/h3>\n

After four seasons playing collegiately at Ole Miss, Davis went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft. He later signed as an undrafted free agent in July of 2019 with the Toronto Raptors<\/a>. Davis made the team and played a large role in his rookie season of 2019-20. His averages that season of 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists were good enough to land him on the All-Rookie Second Team. Davis also finished sixth in Rookie of the Year voting.<\/p>\n

In March of 2021, Toronto traded Davis to the Sacramento Kings<\/a> in exchange for a 2021 second round pick. Davis was in the midst of his most productive season in 2021-22 for Sacramento averaging 10.4 points in just 17.9 minutes per outing. His season ended prematurely though after just 30 games as a wrist injury<\/a> sidelined him for the last three months.<\/p>\n

Davis saw his playing time decrease by nearly five minutes per game in 2022-23. The Kings brought in Kevin Huerter<\/a> and Malik Monk<\/a> who both usurped Davis on the depth chart.<\/p>\n

Davis did not appear at the NBA level in the 2023-24 season. He instead played for the Rip City Remix of the G League whom he joined in December of 2023.
