The Liberty are up 2-0 on the Las Vegas Aces and are currently favored -900 to win the series. She shot an impressive 12-of-19 from the field and hit 50% from beyond the arc. After a weaker showing in last year\u2019s WNBA Finals against the Aces, Stewart\u2019s play in Game 1 set the tone that this would be a very different series than last year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Aces struggled to find their footing in Game 1, falling behind early and never regaining traction. While <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/players\/w\/wilsoa01w.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A\u2019ja Wilson<\/a> and <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/players\/p\/plumke01w.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kelsey Plum<\/a> had solid performances, they lacked enough support to keep pace with the Liberty\u2019s top players. Wilson, the WNBA MVP, scored 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting, along with six rebounds and five assists, but finished with a team-worst plus\/minus of -17.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Aces Put Up A Better Fight in Game 2<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Game 2, the Aces came out to an early first-quarter lead. The Liberty responded with a huge second quarter, outscoring the Aces 24-13. Although the Aces kept things close throughout the second half, they simply didn\u2019t have enough to regain control, losing 88-84. The Liberty were -4.5 point favorites in Game 2, so the Aces covered, and the point total went over the scoring line projection of 163.5.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/BBall_Nut\/status\/1841302861474386055<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/players\/i\/ionessa01w.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sabrina Ionescu<\/a> was the star for the Liberty, scoring 24 points with nine rebounds and five assists. <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/players\/f\/fiebile01w.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Leonie Fiebich<\/a> and <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/players\/l\/laneybe01w.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Betnijah Laney-Hamilton<\/a> each had a pair of threes, and the Aces got 21 points from their bench. Wilson was the best player for the Aces, with 24 points on 11-of-18 shooting. She got some help from <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/wnba\/players\/y\/youngja01w.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jackie Young<\/a>\u2019s 17 points, but Plum only added six points. Wilson is going to need a lot more scoring help in Game 3 if the Aces want to prolong this series.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Liberty vs Aces Spread Game 3<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although the Liberty handled both Game 1 and 2, they are +2.5 underdogs in Game 3. They are +120 to win straight up, while the Aces are -148 to grab the win at home. The over\/under total for the game is set at 166. The first three matchups between these teams went under the projected point total, but the last two playoff games have gone over. New York covered in Game 1, and the Aces narrowly covered in Game 2.
