The Wolfpack are enjoying a renaissance of sorts after winning last season\u2019s ACC Tournament, the team\u2019s first since 1987. With DJ Burns<\/a> and DJ Horne<\/a> now gone the team will need to find a new identity. Most folks know the program for Jimmy V and his incredible story, but which players belong on our NC State Basketball All-Time Starting Lineup?<\/p>\n

NC State Basketball All-Time Starting Lineup<\/h2>\n

Guard: Rodney Monroe<\/h3>\n

Rodney Monroe<\/a> is North Carolina State\u2019s all-time leading scorer with 2,551 career points. The Baltimore native played under legendary head coach Jim Valvano<\/a> for three years before Les Robinson<\/a> was brought in to clean the program up. As a senior Monroe was named the ACC Player of the Year, and led the Wolfpack to the big dance. Seeded sixth in the 1991 NCAA Tournament NC State fell in the second round to Oklahoma State. Chris Corchiani<\/a> was Monroe\u2019s running mate, and the pair was dubbed \u201cFire and Ice\u201d. Together they helped Jimmy V reach the 1989 Sweet Sixteen in his final postseason appearance. After college Monroe was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks<\/a>, but spent most of his time as a pro overseas.<\/p>\n
