Optimists are hoping a proper training camp and offseason will allow Giannis and Lillard to find the offensive chemistry that many believe could be dominant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On top of the Bucks roster changes, they also made a coaching change last season. <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/coaches\/griffad01c.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adrian Griffin<\/a>, the Milwaukee Bucks coach to start the season, was fired around the midway point. It was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/39378180\/inside-tension-struggles-adrian-griffin-fired-milwaukee-bucks-coach\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a> that Griffin had trouble gaining the respect of the Bucks roster, so he was replaced by veteran head coach <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/r\/riverdo01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doc Rivers<\/a>. It is likely because some NBA teams and analysts think the best years of the Giannis-led Bucks are over. Giannis is still a top-five NBA player, but Lillard,<a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/lopezbr01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Brook Lopez<\/a>, and <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/middlkh01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Khris Middleton<\/a> are all showing serious signs of aging.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If Giannis can play a healthy season, getting 51 wins in the Eastern Conference should be doable for the Bucks. Don\u2019t expect Lillard to dominate as he has in years past or for Middleton to play a fully healthy season, but with Giannis, they have enough. New pieces like <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/wrighde01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Delon Wright<\/a> and <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/trentga02.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gary Trent Jr.<\/a> should also have an impact. A full training camp with Lillard, Rivers, and the Bucks core together should set the Bucks up for a successful regular season.
