The Anderson (Ind.) native is ranked between No. 7-and-25 with Rivals listing him the highest and On3 has him the lowest.

Haralson is a versatile player with a high-basketball IQ and great size. The 6-6 wing, who took an official visit to Indiana last weekend, is still considering nine schools. Besides UND and IU, Haralson is looking at Gonzaga, Duke, Missouri, Auburn, Purdue, Kansas, and Michigan State

Here is On3 Jaime Shaw’s scouting report on Haralson:

“Jalen Haralson has a sturdy frame, one that should take well to strength and conditioning programs without losing athleticism as he continues to move forward. He has good length as well. There are interesting aspects to Haralson’s game as a point-forward type. He has a solid handle as a mismatch forward, able to get his team into sets or push the break. He is also capable of initiating offense from different levels of the court. He is a quick processor with good floor vision. Haralson is a solid straight-line athlete. He has an understanding of team defense and angles. There are questions about his lateral quickness and his burst. The jump shot can be a weapon at this point, but he needs to continue drilling down its consistency. Some unique tools with his size and feel.”

Notre Dame Make Their Pitch To 3 Top-100 Prospects, Micah Shrewsberry: “We have to hit on freshmen”

Haralson was joined in South Bend by Ryder Frost and Brady Koehler. Frost is a consensus four-star prospect who is ranked No. 93 in the country while Koehler is ranked 86th.

Frost, from Beverly (Mass.), is one of the top shooters in the class. The 6-6 wing averaged 15.1 points, or 1.21 points per shot, with the Middlesex Magic AAU program as he shot 44.2% from deep.

Frost has also taken official visits to Syracuse, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Iowa, and Michigan. He has a visit to Wisconsin scheduled for September 14.

Koehler is from Indianapolis and the 6-9 wing can really shoot it. He also possesses good athleticism, has good handles and block shots.

According to Jack Soble of Blue & Gold, Shrewsberry really wants to add Koehler to his 2025 class.

“[Shrewsberry’s] pitch to me is just the offense that they play,” Koehler told Blue & Gold. “It’s really similar to my offense at Cathedral, so it’s not going to be much of a transition. It’s really free, and great ball movement. Just the style of play that they have would be really fun to play in.”

Fighting Irish Recruiting

Notre Dame went 13-20 last season in Shrewsberry’s first year at South Bend, after spending a couple of seasons at Penn State. While it was the Irish’s second straight and fourth losing campaign in the last six years, they did improve their win total by two overall and four during conference play.

Last year, Shrewsberry relied heavily on his younger players as he only had two seniors on the roster. Sophomore Markus Burton, who was one of the top freshmen in the country last season, and Braeden Shrewsberry, the coach’s son and a very good 3-point shooter, will likely lead the way again for the Irish.

Overall, the Irish return six of their top eight players from last year. Shrewsberry brought in the No. 52 recruiting class this year, led by consensus top 100 recruit Sir Mohammed. Four-star shooting guard Cole Certa and power forward Garrett Sundra are the other freshmen.

Additionally, Shrewsberry brought in three graduate transfers. Sharpshooter Matt Allocco, a three-star transfer from Princeton, is the most highly thought of the transfers. Nikita Konstantynovskyi and Burke Chebuhar are the other transfers.

Shrewsberry has four available scholarships for 2025 though he could create two more scholarships with some creative roster management, Noie said. Noie added that the upcoming class and subsequent ones will include mainly high school seniors and maybe only high school seniors though the Irish will continue to monitor the transfer portal.

“We have to hit on freshmen,” Shrewsberry said. “We have to keep them here and develop them.”

Looking At 2025 Recruits

Notre Dame has 13 open offers to 2025 high school seniors and do not have a commitment. Top-50 prospect Kayden Mingo was on campus Labor Day Weekend.

“This was my second visit,” Mingo told On3 about his official visit. “And it was a great experience. The facilities were beautiful, second to none, really; and for all the sports. The campus was beautiful.

“Coach (Micah) Shrewsberry has been great,” Mingo added. “Coach (Mike) Farrelly has been recruiting me for over a year now, and we have built a strong relationship. Also, Coach Shrews is a great coach with NBA experience which is big to help players get to the next level.”

Besides Haralson and Koehler, the Irish appear to be high on Niko Bundalo, Cam Ward, Mingo and Tommy Ahneman.
