The\u00a0New York Knicks<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and mistakes have gone hand in hand for most of the 21st century. Luckily for this exercise, we are only looking at the last ten years. Even in that short period of time New York has provided numerous options from which to choose. After careful consideration, the Knicks biggest mistake in the last ten years was drafting Jordan Hill<\/strong><\/a>with the eighth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Jordan Hill was a 6\u201910 junior out of the\u00a0University of Arizona.\u00a0<\/strong>He could play both the power forward and center positions. He played in 24 games in his first season\u00a0for the Knicks,\u00a0averaging\u00a04.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.4 blocks per game as a rookie. Hill didn\u2019t last long in a Knicks uniform, as he was dealt to the\u00a0Houston Rockets<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>at the trade deadline of his rookie year. Hill was one of the main pieces the Knicks gave up to acquire\u00a0Tracy McGrady<\/strong><\/a>. (That was another transaction that was considered for this article.) Hill has been a serviceable big man throughout his career. New York could have obtained a more productive player with this pick though.
