Ultimately, the two-time champion never played again in the NBA. Despite publicly expressing his desire to return to the league, it never came to fruition, and Bosh officially retired in 2019.

Recently, Bosh took part in Goran Dragic‘s farewell game as the Slovenian guard recently retired from basketball. After the game, Bosh revealed that he received multiple offers to play overseas in the EuroLeague after his NBA career ended. However, the 11-time All-Star revealed he did not want to move his family to continue his playing career.

“I actually had offers from Europe. But it was time. Spain, France, somewhere in there… In the EuroLeague”, Bosh said.

Basketball Hall of Famer Received Overseas Offers Before Retiring

Chris Bosh’s NBA Career

Bosh played in the NBA from 2003 to 16. The Texas native initially joined the Toronto Raptors after the team drafted him with the fourth pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. He was selected in the same draft class as LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. Additionally, the team selected Bosh one spot before the Heat drafted Dwyane Wade. Bosh would go on to spend the first seven seasons of his career in Toronto. With the Raptors, he was a five-time All-Star and a one-time All-NBA Second Team selection. Additionally, he finished top-10 in MVP voting twice. With Toronto, he averaged 20.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game.

In 2010, Bosh joined the Heat as a free agent via a sign-and-trade. This began the run of one of the most infamous superteams in recent history. Next to new teammates, Wade and James, Bosh helped form one of the best “Big Three” cores in league history. The three of them spent four seasons together. In that time, they made an NBA Final appearance each year, bringing him two championships. Bosh spent the rest of his career in Miami, playing six seasons for the team. Additionally, he made an All-Star appearance every season he was in Miami. This includes his shortened 2015-16 campaign.

The Last Word On Chris Bosh

Bosh is one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history. Additionally, he is still arguably the greatest Raptors player in their franchise’s history. It is unfortunate his career ended as suddenly as it did. However, Bosh seems to be happy with where he is in life currently. Dragic’s farewell game is likely the last time we will see Bosh play basketball in a professional setting. Luckily, NBA fans were able to see the Hall of Famer on the court once again.

Once one of the best power forwards in the NBA, Hall of Famer Chris Bosh‘s career came to a sudden end in February 2016.
