Keyshaun Tillery had a tremendous summer. The consensus top 75 2025 recruit picked up 15 scholarship offers since May 21, including one from Virginia<\/a> on August 22.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe summer went great,\u201d Tillery told On3<\/a>. \u201cI was blessed to pick up a lot of offers. And we had a good season with City Rocks. It was cool to see how quickly we were able to gel and win games. I think I showed that I\u2019m one of the top guards in the country and can compete at the highest level.\u201d<\/p>\n

Top 75 Recruit Keyshaun Tillery Picks Up ACC Offer and Sets 5 Official Visits Over the Next 2 Month<\/h2>\n

Tillery, from Albany (NY), averaged 15.6 points and 5.6 assists at EYBL’s Peach Jam in late July. The 6-1 point guard does an excellent job running the offense, getting others involved, and is a tough defender. He also attacks the rim with vigor and is a capable perimeter shooter.<\/p>\n

Here is what Tillery told Jaime Shaw about his game:<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI play pretty fast. I like playing in transition, getting my teammates involved, and getting downhill. I\u2019m quicker this season in making the right pass and not over-dribbling. I\u2019ve been working on my shot daily. I watch a lot of Donovan Mitchell<\/a> and Darius Garlan<\/a>d, crafty small guards. They are poised and never sped up when they play, and they know how and when to get to their spots.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tillery is the No. 74 player and 14th-best point guard in the 2025\u00a0 class per On3 Industry Ranking. Overall, he is ranked between No. 50 (ESPN) and 115 (On3) prospect in the country. On3 is the only major recruiting service that does not give Tillery four stars.<\/p>\n

Tillery holds 28 scholarship offers. He officially visited Florida on June 8 and has scheduled five more visits. He visited Northwestern in 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve set five official visits. I\u2019ll go to Virginia (8\/30), Wake Forest (9\/6), Cincinnati (9\/13), Ohio State (9\/21), and Villanova (10\/4). I\u2019ve already taken an official visit to Florida, who I\u2019m still talking to. I\u2019m also still talking with Kansas and Syracuse about possibly visiting.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Looking At The 8 Schools Tillery Visited Or Wants to Visit<\/h3>\n

While it doesn’t appear that Tillery has officially eliminated any school offered to him, it can be assumed he is looking at eight schools a little harder than others. Those schools seem to be Virginia, Wake Forest<\/a>, Cincinnati<\/a>, Ohio State<\/a>, Villanova<\/a>, Florida<\/a>, Kansas,<\/a> and Syracuse<\/a>. He will visit those programs, has visited them, or wants to.<\/p>\n

So, what is Tillery looking for, and when will he decide?<\/p>\n

I\u2019m looking to commit in late October, or early November. So I\u2019m looking to sign during the Early Signing Period.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m looking for a school that will stay consistent in their communication with me and my family. And build a relationship. I\u2019m looking for a culture place. A place where I can develop on and off the court. I\u2019ll look at the play style. I want to go somewhere that fits me. But I would like to go to a relationship place.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Virginia Cavaliers<\/h4>\n

Virginia is the last school to offer Tillery, doing so on August 22. However, the Cavaliers have been recruiting him since mid-summer. He will make the trip to Charlottesville next weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan, it\u2019s\u00a0Coach (Tony) Bennett.<\/a> And they got a great staff. They started recruiting me mid-summer and we have been building out relationship ever since. They have a history with point guards; Coach Bennett was a point guard. They\u2019ve had a lot of success and Coach Bennett is a winning coach and they\u2019re getting back on track. We have a great relationship.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Wake Forest Demon Deacons<\/h4>\n

Wake Forest offered Tillery on June 3, 2024. Tillery will travel to Winston-Salem on September 6.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom a point guard and a guard aspect they\u2019ve had a lot of All-ACC guards. I\u2019ve built a great relationship with\u00a0Coach (Steve) Forbes<\/a>. He is a winning coach, has won at every level from JUCO to low D1 to high major. They have been very clear with me with the plan they have in place for me as a point guard.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Cincinnati Bearcats<\/h4>\n

Cincinnati offered Tillery on May 28, 2024. He is slated to take an official visit to Cincinnati on September 13.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m talking with\u00a0Coach (Wes) Miller<\/a>\u00a0and Coach (Andre) Morgan, we talk a lot. They\u2019re on the uprise as a program and they have let it be known how much they want me. They play fast and they play a lot in transition, which is my strong suit. I think they\u2019re building a winning culture there. We have a great relationship.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ohio State Buckeyes<\/h4>\n

Ohio State was the second school to offer Tillery on June 3, 2024. He will be on the Buckeyes campus in Columbus on September 21.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a great relationship with\u00a0Coach (Jake) Diebler<\/a>\u00a0and Coach (Talor) Battle. Coach Diebler sees a lot of similarities with my game and Bruce Thornton<\/a>. They think I can come in and make my own impact with the dudes they have leaving. They have a fast transition offense and play with a lot of ball screens.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Villanova Wildcats<\/h4>\n

Villanova offered him on June 22. Nova could receive Tillery’s final official visit as he is slated to head to the Southeast PA on October 4.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cI talk a lot with Coach Ash (Howard) and\u00a0Coach (Kyle) Neptune<\/a>\u00a0too. At the end of the day, it\u2019s Villanova. I think they\u2019re going to take a step this year, they are bringing in great pieces. Coach Neptune wants to win, he has a confident and competitive mindset and that is what it is all about.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Syracuse Orange<\/h4>\n

Syracuse has been one of the programs that have been recruiting him the longest. The Orange offered him last August.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey check in with me, see how I\u2019m doing, how I\u2019m playing. I know Carmelo (Anthony<\/a>) was there. My old teammate, Trey (Autry<\/a>), his dad is the head coach there now, so there is a connection there.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve got a pretty good relationship. I\u2019m just trying to see how consistent these schools are going to be recruiting me. We\u2019ve talked about everyday this week.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kansas Jayhawks<\/h4>\n

Kansas offered Tillery earlier this month (August 9th).<\/p>\n

\u201cI talk mostly with Coach Norm (Roberts). We talk here and there.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Florida Gators<\/h4>\n

Florida offered Tillery a few days before he took his official to GainesvilJune 10une 10.<\/p>\n

\u201cI talk with Coach (Kevin) Hovde pretty regularly and they let me know they still want to be involved. They play in a lot of ball screens and actions.
