Kevin Durant<\/a> isn\u2019t afraid to speak his mind on social media. The 35-year-old NBA superstar is often found responding to others on X who may be making disparaging remarks about him. He doesn\u2019t discriminate, Durant will respond to a well-known figure or someone with one follower.<\/p>\n

There are some that appreciate Durant speaking his mind and his candidness with fans of the game. Others call him thin-skinned, petty, and sensitive for allowing people who shouldn\u2019t matter to him, matter.<\/p>\n

Another word for Durant that has now been thrown out about him is weak. That word came from a fellow current NBA player.<\/p>\n

Schroder\u2019s Comments After Bronze Medal Game Loss<\/h3>\n

Dennis Schroder<\/a> is a 30-year-old (turns 31 on September 15) point guard currently on the Brooklyn Nets<\/a>. Schroder participated for Germany in the 2024 Paris Olympics. They fell in the bronze medal game<\/a> to Serbia, resulting in a fourth-place finish. Schroder had these comments<\/a> at the press conference after the bronze medal game.<\/p>\n

“European basketball is no entertainment. It’s straight IQ basketball, straight coaching, and really, really high-IQ guys who know how to play the game.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While it\u2019s unclear if what Schroder said was a direct shot at Team USA<\/a>, Durant clearly took it as so.<\/p>\n

Durant\u2019s Response After Team USA Gold Medal Win<\/h3>\n

Durant and Team USA<\/a> played in the gold medal game<\/a> against France, the same day (just hours later) after Schroder\u2019s postgame comments. Team USA won their fifth-straight gold medal in men\u2019s basketball with a 98-87 win. Durant went to X, tweeting out something clearly in response to Schroder\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n
