The 35-year-old has earned<\/a> around $483.2 million through his NBA salary alone, not including his lucrative endorsement deals. Kevin Durant has acquired a minority stake in French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), one of the most popular teams in the world. The three-time NBA scoring champion finalized the deal during his visit to France as a member of Team USA<\/a> for the men’s basketball competition in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.<\/p>\n

Durant bought his ownership share in the reigning Ligue 1 champions through Arctos Partners. The private equity firm purchased a 12.5 percent stake in the club in December 2023. Meanwhile, the 2014 NBA Most Valuable Player’s investment is reportedly worth around<\/a> “single-digit millions.”<\/p>\n

The NBA 75th Anniversary Team member visited a PSG team training session<\/a> on August 5, amid the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he met with club president Nasser Al-Khela\u00effi and manager Luis Enrique. The 14-time NBA All-Star observed training sessions, specifically of the women\u2019s team and the youth squad. The French powerhouse released a statement hinting at a collaboration.<\/p>\n

Roughly a week after the visit, the former Texas Longhorn announced his investment<\/a> in the soccer club through his own media company Boardroom. He launched the platform specializing<\/a> in sports, entertainment, and culture with longtime business partner Rich Kleiman in 2019.<\/p>\n

Durant’s Previous Soccer Investment<\/h3>\n

Kevin Durant\u2019s investment in PSG is not his first foray into the sport. The 6-foot-10 forward previously acquired a<\/a> five percent stake in the MLS team, the Philadelphia Union, in June 2020. He also has the option to purchase an additional five percent stake in the team to double his share in the future.<\/p>\n
