With the NBA regular season<\/a> beginning in less than two months, let\u2019s take a look at who is the oldest player<\/a> on each team. Only players on standard contracts are listed. Age listed is how old they will be on October 22 when the regular season begins. This article will be edited throughout the offseason if changes need to be made due to a signing or trade.<\/p>\n

The Oldest Player On Each NBA Western Conference Team<\/h2>\n

Dallas Mavericks – Klay Thompson (Age: 34)<\/span><\/h3>\n

Thirteen years after he was drafted in 2011, Klay Thompson<\/a> is on a team other than the Warriors for the first time. Dallas is hoping the four-time champion can provide the leadership to take them a step further after they lost to the Boston Celtics<\/a> in the NBA Finals. The marksman has made 41.3% of his three-point tries in his career.<\/p>\n

Denver Nuggets – DeAndre Jordan (Age: 36)<\/span><\/h3>\n

About to enter his third season with Denver, DeAndre Jordan<\/a> is less than four months older than newcomer Russell Westbrook<\/a>. Jordan is far from his \u2018Lob City\u2019 days with the Clippers, but he can still grab rebounds with the best of them, even in limited minutes.<\/p>\n

Golden State Warriors – Stephen Curry (Age: 36)<\/span><\/h3>\n

As seen at the Summer Olympics, Stephen Curry<\/a> is still a big-time shooter. He was named to the All-NBA Third Team last season, the 10th time that the two-time MVP has received All-NBA honors. For the fifth time in his career, Curry made over 300 three-pointers last season.<\/p>\n

Houston Rockets – Jeff Green (Age: 39)<\/span><\/h3>\n

Jeff Green<\/a> has been playing so long that he started his career with the Seattle SuperSonics. This will be his 17th season in the league, and his second with the Rockets. He is still playing rotational minutes late in his career, winning a championship with Denver in the 2022-23 season and playing 16.8 minutes per game for Houston in 2023-24.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Clippers – P.J. Tucker (Age: 39)<\/span><\/h3>\n

In what was a surprise to no one, P.J. Tucker<\/a> exercised his $11.5 million<\/a> player option for this season. He wasn\u2019t going to turn down that money, even if he wasn\u2019t happy last season not being a part of the Clippers rotation. Tucker was traded to Los Angeles last season along with James Harden<\/a> in a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Lakers – LeBron James (Age: 39)<\/span><\/h3>\n

When your son is now also in the NBA, it\u2019s no surprise that LeBron James<\/a> is on this list. James will turn 40 on December 30. Named MVP of the 2024 Olympics<\/a>, James has incredibly received All-NBA honors each of the last 20 seasons. He has also averaged at least 25 points per outing in all 20 of those years as well.<\/p>\n

Memphis Grizzlies – Derrick Rose (Age: 36)<\/span><\/h3>\n

It has been somewhat surprising that Derrick Rose<\/a> has lasted this long in the league with the constant injury woes he has faced. He played in just 24 games last season, his first with Memphis. The former MVP has played in just 77 games over the last three seasons.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Timberwolves – Joe Ingles (Age: 37)<\/span><\/h3>\n

Joe Ingles<\/a> is nine days older than his new teammate Mike Conley<\/a>. After spending his first eight seasons with the Jazz, Ingles is now on his third different team in three years. His scoring average of 4.4 points with the Orlando Magic<\/a> in 2023-24 was his lowest since his second season (2015-16).<\/p>\n

New Orleans Pelicans – CJ McCollum (Age: 33)<\/span><\/h3>\n

For nine straight seasons, CJ McCollum<\/a> has averaged at least 20 points. In spite of this, the six-foot-three guard has never been named an All-Star. McCollum shot a career-best 42.9% from beyond the arc in 2023-24.<\/p>\n

Oklahoma City Thunder – Alex Caruso (Age: 30)<\/span><\/h3>\n

Alex Caruso<\/a> is on the short list of best defensive guards in the NBA. He made the All-Defensive Second Team in 2023-24 and First Team in 2022-23 while playing for the Chicago Bulls<\/a>. Caruso now joins the Thunder after Chicago traded him in exchange for Josh Giddey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Phoenix <\/span>Suns – Kevin Durant (Age: 36)<\/span><\/h3>\n

Kevin Durant<\/a> is the third Team USA member here, and just like the other two, he was a big reason why they were able to win gold. He hasn\u2019t shown much slowing down in the NBA either as he continues to score at will. Durant is just 1,076 points away from becoming the eighth player in NBA history to reach 30,000 for their career.<\/p>\n

Portland Trail Blazers – Jerami Grant (Age: 30)<\/span><\/h3>\n

There has been trade speculation<\/a> revolving around Jerami Grant<\/a>, but he has made it clear that he wants to stay in Portland. The 10-year NBA veteran averaged 21 points and shot a career-best 40.2% from three-point range.<\/p>\n

Sacramento Kings – DeMar DeRozan (Age: 35)<\/span><\/h3>\n

At the age of 34 in 2023-24, DeMar DeRozan<\/a> led the NBA averaging 37.8 minutes per game while with the Chicago Bulls. Now he joins Sacramento who acquired DeRozan in a sign-and-trade. The six-foot-six forward has averaged over 20 points for 11 straight seasons.<\/p>\n

San Antonio Spurs – Chris Paul (Age: 39)<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Spurs wanted to bring in some veterans to play alongside the transcendent Victor Wembanyama<\/a>. Signing an all-time great floor general in Chris Paul<\/a> should do wonders for the team. Last season with the Warriors, he had more than a five-to-one assist-to-turnover ratio.<\/p>\n

Utah Jazz – Jordan Clarkson (Age: 32)<\/span><\/h3>\n

Playing for the Jazz for the last four seasons, Jordan Clarkson<\/a>\u2019s role has mostly been as a scorer off the bench (was a starter in 2022-23).
