The Heat\u00a0released the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nba.com\/heat\/news\/miami-heat-statement-chris-bosh-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">following statement<\/a>\u00a0at approximately 11:30am <strong>Friday<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Miami HEAT and <strong>Chris Bosh<\/strong>, in consultation with team doctors and other physicians, have been working together for many months with the mutual goal of having Chris return to the court as soon as possible. Chris has now taken his pre-season physical. The Miami HEAT regret that it remains unable to clear Chris to return to basketball activities, and there is no timetable for his return.<\/p>\n<p>We are not able to comment further in light of Article XXII, Section 3(e) of the NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement, which precludes a team from releasing certain medical information without a player&#8217;s consent.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Chris Bosh Fails Physical with Miami Heat<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>More Issues in Bloodwork<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/sports\/spt-columns-blogs\/barry-jackson\/article103660572.html#wgt=trending\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Barry Jackson<\/strong> of the <strong>Miami Herald<\/strong><\/a>, the issue arose with Bosh\u2019s bloodwork taken earlier this week. Bosh\u2019s previous two seasons were curtailed just after the All-Star break because of blood clot episodes.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bosh Was Looking Forward to\u00a0Playing This Year<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Chris Bosh has worked assiduously through the summer months to be ready for training camp. The Heat family was looking forward to having Bosh available for training camp, thus having him as a part of the 2016-17 team. Bosh himself claimed last week that he would be <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprobasketball.com\/2016\/09\/14\/chris-bosh-announces-healthy-enough-play\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">healthy enough to start the season<\/a>; however, we now know that will no longer be the case.<\/p>\n<p>However Bosh\u2019s return was always contingent on attaining a clean bill of health through the gauntlet of tests he underwent.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>This is a Major Setback For the Heat<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Owner <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MickyArison\/status\/771128788960808960?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Mickey Arison<\/strong> tweeted<\/a> on August 31, \u201cLooking good CB @chrisbosh look forward to seeing in camp\u201d. Arison even ended the tweet with a basketball emoji. \u00a0The Heat were counting on Bosh as he is the last remaining member of the \u201cBig Three\u201d. The Heat are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/17602335\/miami-heat-chris-bosh-says-first-installment-documentary-felt-written-second-blood-clot-diagnosis\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">restricted by NBA rules<\/a>\u00a0from releasing more information, which prohibit teams from divulging player information regarding potential career ending or life threatening circumstances.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nba\/2016\/09\/23\/reports-more-medical-issues-chris-bosh\/90906546\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Dwyane Wade,<\/strong> now a member of the <strong>Chicago Bulls<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0recently quoted as saying to the AP, \u201cTo me, the biggest thing is Chris has five kids and a wife and a family that depends on him being there. To me, that&#8217;s always most important. I told him, &#8216;Make sure you focus on that first.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Many questions remain. Must Chris Bosh retire? Will the Heat release him?
