Langston Galloway<\/a> is no longer in the NBA, but he has to be enjoying his basketball journey at the moment. The 32-year-old was a part of the USA Select Team that got to have a three-day training camp with the Team USA<\/a> men\u2019s basketball team. That means playing with LeBron James<\/a>, Stephen Curry<\/a>, Anthony Edwards<\/a>, Jayson Tatum<\/a>, Joel Embiid<\/a>, and other star players. He is still practicing with the team and even got to play against Serbia in an exhibition game (Galloway hit a three-pointer).<\/p>\n

With Team USA\u2019s last exhibition game taking place on Monday<\/a> versus Germany, it will be Galloway\u2019s last time wearing the USA jersey. He will not be participating with the team in the Olympics. Playing with some of the NBA greats may have given him more of an itch to get back into the league though.<\/p>\n

Galloway spoke with Andscape\u2019s Marc J. Spears<\/a> about his experience practicing with Team USA. They spoke of how awesome it has been playing with that collection of talent, meeting Vice President Kamala Harris, and his shoe line called Ethics The Brand. Spears also asked if the Team USA experience can help get him back in the NBA.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is definitely the goal.\u201d Galloway said. \u201cIf I can get an opportunity from any team to lace them back up in the NBA, that\u2019s the goal. I have a few [European] offers on the table. I\u2019m just waiting for a couple of things to unfold with the EuroLeague, EuroCup situation team-wise, and then my team as well that I played for this past year. Obviously, they\u2019ve offered me, but I\u2019m just waiting for a couple of other teams, EuroLeague to unfold. Then, I can make a decision and see what is next.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Last season was the first of Galloway\u2019s career where he played overseas. He played for Reggio Emilia in Italy where he averaged 16.9 points in 30 outings.<\/p>\n

All-Rookie Member in 2014-15<\/h3>\n

The six-foot-one Galloway went undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft. He joined the Westchester Knicks of the G League before making his NBA debut with the New York Knicks<\/a> on January 7, 2015. Despite not playing for New York in the first couple months of the season, Galloway earned a spot on the All-Rookie Second Team. In 45 games, he posted averages of 11.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.2 steals.<\/p>\n

After spending one more season with the Knicks where he appeared in all 82 games, Galloway has been on six other NBA teams. He played the 2016-17 season with the New Orleans Pelicans<\/a> and Sacramento Kings. The following three seasons, he was a member of the Detroit Pistons<\/a>. In 2020-21, Galloway donned the jersey of the Phoenix Suns. He last played in the NBA in 2021-22 where he totaled seven games with the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>. Finally, he was last seen with the Indiana Pacers during the preseason in October 2022.<\/p>\n

Over the course of eight seasons, Galloway has played in 452 career NBA regular season games (62 starts). His per-game averages consist of 8.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.
