The Big 12 Conference<\/a> has some new teams added to it.\u00a0 The Big 12 announces the opponents for the 2024-2025 season in men’s basketball. <\/span>The conference officially has added Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah. July 1st has come and gone and things are official. While dates are not set for the 2024-2025 season, the Big 12 has announced opponents for the 2024-2025 season. Let\u2019s take a look at who will see who.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Big 12 Announces Opponents for 2024-2025 Season<\/b><\/h2>\n

Houston Cougars<\/b><\/h3>\n

The defending Big 12 regular season champion will get two games against Baylor, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and West Virginia. The Cougars will see the Brigham Young Cougars, Cincinnati, Iowa State, TCU, and Utah at home. Kelvin Sampson and his crew will face Arizona, Arizona State, Central Florida, Colorado, and Kansas State on the road only for the 2024-2025 season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Iowa State Cyclones<\/b><\/h3>\n

T.J. Otzelberger<\/a>\u00a0and his boys in Ames Iowa made their name well known in the Big 12 tournament a season ago. After running through the conference tournament, they went to the Sweet 16, only to be downed by Illinois. The Cyclones only go on the road to Arizona State, Houston, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and West Virginia. Iowa State will host Baylor, Brigham Young, Cincinnati, TCU, and Utah only. Iowa State will get home and away matchups with Arizona, Central Florida, Colorado, Kansas, and Kansas State.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kansas Jayhawks<\/b><\/h3>\n

Bill Self<\/a> and his Kansas Jayhawks are looking to bounce back after a tough season, which saw them run short on players a season ago. A big off-season in the transfer portal has the Jayhawks ready to rock in 2024-2025<\/a>. The following teams will visit Phog Allen Fieldhouse for the only matchup between the teams: Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and West Virginia. The Jayhawks will visit the following teams for their only meeting: Baylor, Brigham Young, Cincinnati, TCU, and Utah. Kansas will have two meetings with Central Florida, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, and Kansas State.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arizona Wildcats<\/b><\/h3>\n

After running wild in the Pac-12 for seasons, Arizona will be welcomed into the Big 12 for a full slate of games. Arizona gets home-only games against Central Florida, Colorado, Houston, TCU, and Utah. The Wildcats will go on the road for their only meeting against Cincinnati, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia. Arizona plays the following teams twice during the season: Arizona State, Baylor, Brigham Young, Iowa State, and Texas Tech.<\/span><\/p>\n

Baylor Bears<\/b><\/h3>\n

There was plenty of talk about Scott Drew<\/a> leaving Waco and heading to Kentucky to take over as the leader of the Wildcats basketball program. Drew is still the leader of the Bears, and their Big 12 schedule will see Central Florida, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia as home-only games. The road games only for the Bears are at Arizona State, Brigham Young, Colorado, Iowa State, and TCU. Baylor will play the following teams twice this season: Arizona, Cincinnati, Houston, TCU, and Utah.<\/span><\/p>\n

West Virginia Mountaineers<\/b><\/h3>\n

The Mountaineers are going to have a brand new look to their roster, and also on the sideline this season. Darian DeVries<\/a>, who led Drake to six straight 20-win seasons is the new head coach. His son Tucker\u00a0DeVries<\/a> is going to be one of the star players for the Mountaineers. West Virginia has home-only games against Arizona, Arizona State, Central Florida, Iowa State, and Oklahoma State. The Mountaineers will go on the road to Baylor, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, and Texas Tech. West Virginia sees the following teams twice this season: Brigham Young, Cincinnati, Houston, TCU, and Utah.<\/span><\/p>\n
