No&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/v8sOh909y7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/t.co\/v8sOh909y7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/wojespn\/status\/881002988919177216?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">July 1, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Stephen Curry Agrees to Five-Year Contract With Golden State Warriors<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Curry\u2019s new contract will take him through the end of the 2021-22 season. <strong>Sam Amick<\/strong> of USA Today later <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sam_amick\/status\/881004458515210241\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">confirmed that Curry&#8217;s deal doesn&#8217;t have any player or team options<\/a> in it.<\/p>\n<p>Curry, a two-time MVP, had another superb season with the Golden State Warriors, averaging 25.3 points, 6.6 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game in 2016-17. Furthermore, Curry missed just three games all season, playing in 79 regular season contests \u2013 the same total as in 2015-16. He and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/d\/duranke01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Durant<\/a><\/strong> led Golden State past the Cleveland Cavaliers to an NBA Finals victory in five games. Curry was instrumental in helping the Warriors earn their second championship in three seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward, Curry will continue to provide elite scoring, shooting, and playmaking as the star point guard for Golden State. The Warriors will need similar production from a healthy Curry to remain the favorites to win the NBA championship in the 2017-18 season.<\/p>\n<p>The 29-year-old Curry is going into his ninth NBA season, having spent his\u00a0whole career with the Warriors to this point.
