College Career\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Kolek started his collegiate career at George Mason. He averaged 10.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists\u00a0<\/span>Kolek<\/span>\u00a0was named the Atlantic-10 Rookie of the Year.\u00a0 However, the Rhode Island native would transfer to Marquette after just one season. In his first season with\u00a0<\/span>Marquette<\/span>\u00a0Kolek averaged 6.7 points, 5.9 assists, and 3.7 rebounds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kolek\u00a0<\/span>truly<\/span>\u00a0exploded in his junior season\u00a0<\/span>averaging<\/span>\u00a012.9 points, 7.5 assists, and 4.1 rebounds. Furthermore, Marquette finished with a 29-7 record best in the Big East, and earned a two-seed in the NCAA tournament. As a result, he was named the Big East Player of the Year and established himself as one of the best guards in the country. Marquette would ultimately fall short\u00a0<\/span>losing<\/span>\u00a0to Michigan State in the round of 32.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kolek followed this up with a stellar senior campaign.\u00a0<\/span>Averaging<\/span>\u00a015.3 points, 7.7 assists, and 4.2 rebounds while leading Marquette to a 27-10 record and a two-seed in the NCAA tournament. Notably,\u00a0<\/span>Kolek\u2019s<\/span>\u00a07.7 assists<\/a> were first in the country.\u00a0<\/span>Kolek was battling an oblique injury<\/a> heading into the tournament\u00a0<\/span>but<\/span>\u00a0that\u00a0<\/span>didn\u2019t<\/span>\u00a0hold him back as he put together a brilliant\u00a0<\/span>tournament<\/span>. Kolek’s playmaking and IQ make him an elite pick-n-roll ball handler. Kolek averaged an absurd 34 assist percentage<\/a> for his collegiate career\u00a0<\/span>including<\/span>\u00a0a 42% in his senior year.
