Regardless, Miami&#8217;s roster will likely involve change with hopes of remaining contenders going into the 2024-25 season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s too soon to speculate just what the Miami Heat front office is going to do this summer.\u00a0Apart from any roster adjustments, there are two key extensions on the table that will inevitably impact Miami&#8217;s offseason.<\/p>\n<h3>Bam Adebayo&#8217;s Extension Is Coming<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As the Miami Heat&#8217;s season comes to an abrupt end, the front office looks ahead to a couple of their stars with some important decisions. With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/a\/adebaba01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bam Adebayo<\/a><\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0eligible for an extension, it&#8217;s still\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">being determined<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0what Miami will do at this time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All signs point to extending Adebayo undoubtedly. Adebayo is one of Miami&#8217;s most important stars and the cornerstone of the Heat organization.\u00a0He is <a href=\"https:\/\/basketball.realgm.com\/wiretap\/275559\/Bam-Adebayo-Eligible-To-Sign-Three-Year-$165M-Extension-With-Heat-In-Offseason#:~:text=Bam%20Adebayo%20will%20become%20eligible,with%20the%20Heat%20in%202020.\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reportedly<\/a> eligible to sign a three-year contract worth up to $165 million this offseason. If Adebayo does agree to an extension with the Miami Heat, the deal could reach a $51.2 million salary beginning in the 2026 NBA season. Adebayo last signed a five-year, $164 million contract with Miami in 2020.<\/p>\n<h3>Jimmy Butler Also Eligible For Extension<\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/butleji01.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jimmy Butler<\/a> is another Miami Heat star player eligible for an extension. The six-time All-Star and leader of the Heat team is reportedly looking to cash in on a max extension to stay with Miami. Butler turns 35 later this year and has dealt with injury issues each year for the last two years. Butler will <a href=\"https:\/\/bleacherreport.com\/articles\/10119567-nba-rumors-jimmy-butler-expected-to-seek-113m-max-heat-contract-extension\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reportedly<\/a> request a two-year extension worth roughly $113 million.<\/p>\n<h3>Could Butler Be On the Trade Block This Summer?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Whether Miami is willing to oblige Butler in his demands will play out over the summer. His age and injury history are factors. However, there will unquestionably be teams that would love to have him on their roster.
