He was moved to the sixth man role early on in the year. It was new for him, as Randolph had been a starter throughout his career. He eventually got his starting job back during the Grizzlies’ playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs. He played well in Memphis’s lone postseason matchup as they lost in six games. Randolph has been mostly healthy as of late, playing in 141 games the past two years. That is very good for an older player who has to take games off to rest; Randolph will turn 36 years old later this month.

Randolph is a veteran big who will help out inside a lot next season for Sacramento. He is a good scoring big who plays hard inside and puts a physical toll on opposing big men. The Kings will need Randolph to make up for some of the inside scoring lost from the trade of DeMarcus Cousins to New Orleans last trade deadline. Randolph spent eight seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies, seven of which included Joerger as either the head coach or assistant coach.

Randolph is going into his 17th season. He only has a few more years left in the league, but he still is a quality player. Randolph has played for a number of teams in his career after starting it off with the Portland Trail Blazers. The Blazers selected Randolph with the 19th pick in the 2001 NBA Draft.

Check out the LWOS 2017 NBA Free Agency Tracker for all of your NBA free agency coverage, and be sure to follow @LastWordHoops on Twitter to stay up-to-date with the latest NBA news.

Main Photo:

Embed from Getty Images

According to reports, unrestricted free agent power forward Zach Randolph agrees to a two-year, $24 million contract with the Sacramento Kings.

[29,32,62,3
65,207,96,297,202,1064
post-7407","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-kings","category-grizzlies","category-nba","category-news","tag-basketball","tag-memphis-grizzlies","tag-nba","tag-nba-free-agency","tag-nba-news","tag-zach-randolph
["GET
