Here are the official league leaders in some of the major categories this season. These league leaders will now have bold print on their Basketball Reference page in the category they led for eternity.

The NBA Play-In Tournament games will take place from Tuesday-Friday this week with the opening round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs beginning on Saturday.

NBA League Leaders For The 2023-24 Regular Season

Points Per Game – Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks 33.9

After finishing as the runner-up for the scoring title last season, Luka Doncic easily paced the field in scoring this season with his 33.9 scoring average.

It helped that Joel Embiid who won the previous two scoring titles didn’t play enough games to qualify. Still, the 25-year-old Doncic filled the box score on a near-nightly basis. In his 70 outings, he had 37 games of at least 30 points, 11 games with 40+, and two games with at least 50. On January 26, Doncic dropped 73 points against the Atlanta Hawks. That is tied for the fourth-most in a single game in NBA history.

Rebounds Per Game – Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings 13.7

Domantas Sabonis had an incredible streak this season where he finished with a double-double in 61 consecutive games. The 27-year-old ended the season leading the league in both double-doubles (77) and triple-doubles (26).

This is the second season in a row that Sabonis has led the NBA in boards per contest. He secured 12.3 rebounds a game in 2022-23. This is the fifth-straight season that Sabonis has averaged at least 12 rebounds per game.

Assists Per Game – Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers 10.9

As offensive numbers continue to climb in the NBA, the Pacers just had the second-best offensive rating ever in a season. Only behind the 2023-24 Boston Celtics. For many of those games, Tyrese Haliburton was the maestro behind the success.

In his 69 games this season, the 24-year-old Haliburton reached double-digit assist totals in 47 of them. He recorded a career-high 23 in a December 30 game against the New York Knicks.

Steals Per Game – De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings 2.0

Both De’Aaron Fox and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 150 steals on the season. Fox played 74 games, one less than Gilgeous-Alexander which gave him the steals title by a slim margin. The 26-year-old Fox easily set a career-high in the steals department. Now in his seventh season, his previous best was 1.6 per game in 2018-19.

Blocks Per Game – Victor Wenbanyama, San Antonio Spurs 3.6

Arguably the most hyped rookie since LeBron James, Victor Wembanyama did not disappoint despite the Spurs subpar record. The 7-4” wunderkind deterred ball-handlers from challenging him at the rim all season while also doing much more than just blocking shots.

When they did, it often resulted in a rejection. The 20-year-old Wembanyama finished with a sizable lead in the blocks department over second-place Walker Kessler who averaged 2.4.

League Leaders in Other Categories

Field goal percentage – Danel Gafford, Washington Wizards/Dallas Mavericks (72.5%)

Three-point percentage – Grayson Allen, Phoenix Suns (46.1%)

Three-pointers made – Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors (357)

Free throw percentage – Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors (92.7%)

Minutes per game – DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls (38.7)

Player Efficiency Rating (PER) – Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets (30.97)

The 2023-24 NBA regular season came to an end on Sunday.
